Is it just me ore are there more Asian/Middle Eastern guys this time around? Like, Amp looks kind of Mongolian, and Crane looks either Japanese or Middle Eastern.

Amp is based on a guy of Philippine descent. Crane is Chinese. Salt is a white guy, hence the name. Tomorrow, you'll meet Hesher, who also happens to be caucasian. When we made this series, like the original, we based the people on real guys. This make up is definitely reflective of how you would staff a project of this nature aka non-attributable kinetic force.

Yeah, the demographic is slightly different for the non-attributable Kinetic/FID mission versus the high threat protection detail. Those guys on the detail are supposed to be Americans or are part of an overt presence. In Yemen, everything is below the radar.
