The rail is a quad rail extrusion so it is more rigid that any purely modular rail, but the trade off is weight. Both are excellent options. It is up to you if you find this more/less useful. We won't be cutting the MCMR from BPRE anytime soon.

I'm guessing the beefier helmets and lack of suppression implies these guys are expecting even higher chances of contact. Like on some MEU(SOC) level shocktrooper shit!
