BPRE 28mm Spearhead FINAL Production (Patreon)

This is the final release candidate for BPRE 28mm Spearhead. There is a chance we will add a few pages of model photography but this is content complete. If you see any typos or other things that require further expansion, please comment below so we can address them.

The current plan is to send this to the printer on Tuesday, February 4, pending significant modification to the content. Thank you for  your patience while we polished this book with some of our best artwork to date. If you see any selections you would like us to run as a print, feel free to call out the page below.

Josh is already back into work on book 6, we're hoping to have that complete sometime in late April or early May.

In the battle space maps, there are no white indicators for doors on the interior of 9 and 7.

First off, this is beautiful. Second, you've got me looking at every word now. Do you just want typos sent to you by a certain day or just before the 4th? B/c I already found that "machine" in "Belt-Fed Machine Guns" in the table of contents is misspelled as "macehine".

I think the first sentence on page 19 should have parentheses rather than commas.

On page 31 regarding the new belt-fed machine gun rules it says “both the Hongbin and Aayari Network and PKM gunners”. The second “and” shouldn’t be there and the Hongbin PKM gunner already has the rule since it’s in this book.

These are the ones I found. P# is the page number (ex. P2 = page 2). P2 - Typo. BCM GUNFIGHTER “accesorries” should be "accessories". P3 - Needs Comma. “Nothing, and no one can stop it” should read “Nothing, and no one, can stop it” P7 - Capitalization. “A Major non-NATO ally”. “Major” should not be capitalized. P9 - Pluralization. “The first instance of a UAS systems…” should be “system.” P9 - Sentence reads "were consistently overmatched by foreign internal defense contractor: Cold Harbor". I think it should either read "...by a foreign..." or "by the foreign internal defense contractor Cold Harbor." P9 - Capitalization. “When a Scorch Deterrence Raid” should just be “deterrence raid.” P11 - Name correction. “Hongbin Research and Enabling Group” should be “Division” to match their info section on P10. P18 - Tense. “Rather than holding an election to replace him, the Province Governor appoints… and establishes…” should be past tense, to match the previous and following paragraphs. P19 - Needs comma. “..in indefinite detention creating a…” needs a comma between detention and creating P19 - Capitalization. “‘western mercenaries’ IE Cold Harbor…” IE should read i.e. P22 - Parenthesis. “Ground Forces Commander, GFC,...” should be "Ground Forces Commander (GFC)..." P22 - Missing a verb. “The situation in Jadid, still developing” should probably say “is still developing” P22 - Needs comma. “Moments later a flight..” add a comma to read “Moments later, a flight…” P22 - Acronym. “...these Combat Outposts (COP)...”. COP has already been defined, so just say COP. P25 - Vehicle question. The website for the Addax says it is an MRAP. It also says that “M-ATV” stands for “MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle”, not “Mine Resistant All-Terrain Vehicle”. I’m not sure if you want to change it to Addax MRAP or just keep it. P27 - Needs comma. “floods the surrounding areas killing and…” needs a comma to say “...areas, killing…” P31 - Typo. “sequence in the Maneuver phase, is inelgible” is misspelled. Should be “ineligible”. P31 - Capitalization. “...are equipped with CB respirators…” “Respirators” should be capitalized to make it like the other instances of it.. P38 - Capitalization. “Chlorine Gas Release card.” Should capitalize card, since the other Cards are capitalized. P42 - Typo/Grammar. “Fire to forces defending an contested area” should be “a contested area”. P42 - Needs comma. “At the end of a Finishing Phase no opponent units…” should be “...phase, no…” Other sections say “Phase with no opponents”, so you may want to go with that. P44 - Typo. “Selected to monitor apporaches..” should be “approaches”. P45 - Needs comma. “...electronic support measures gathering real-time…” should read “measures, gathering” P45 - Typo. “..when inside danger closes ranges” should read “inside danger close ranges”. P45 - Acronym. You define ESM after using it multiple times. I recommend defining in the top paragraph. P50 - Hyphen needed. The Vehicle, Large Planter, Planter and Air Conditioner symbols have the phrase “waist high”, but should be hyphenated as “waist-high”. P51-67 - Most maps skip some building numbers, I’m not sure if these omissions are intentional since every map seems to be missing some. For instance, Depleted Oasis does not have a building 05. P70 - Consistency. Quad rotor was previously spelled as Quad Rotor (ex Pg 25, under 2320 ZULU). Which spelling do you want to use? Both should be fine.

On the back cover, para 3 seems to be missing a word - "each game is a skirmish in a larger fight. Each area of operations, worth capability points in the next battle" Final para is also unclear - "new degradation, and fires cards for use in both spearhead, and the phaseline close combat game" perhaps remove first comma? Contents page - there is an extra space between 'Hongbin Research' on 08 - spelling of 'November' on 22 and 26 p22 under '2133 Zulu' - 'a force of Gendarmeries arrive' instead of arrives p22 under ' 2153 Zulu' - 'guidance systems that prevent' instead of prevents p22 under 'DF-17 hypersonic missiles' - should be changed to 'up to Mach 5 with a max effective range of 1,600km' p26 under '0030 Zulu' - para 5 - 'the CTS and Nitto elements' instead of NItto

Not 'Measures(ESM)' p45 - first para last word spelling error - should be 'survivability', not 'suvivability' p75 first para - should it say 'individual weapons proficiency' instead of 'weapon proficiency'? p75 first para - should it say 'short and medium range engagements' instead of 'engagement'? p82 under Sarin Attack - para 3 - should it read 'spontaneously drop to the ground' instead of 'spontaneously from to ground'? Page 18-19 "Battle of Jadid Settlement" is duplicated with the SPEAR unit page/pg 10-11
