Hey y'all, happy Saturday!!!

I picked up the Bogner Uber Ultra EL34 as a demo bargain deal from Sweetwater, and it is INSANE. Holy moly!!!! It's like a gain workstation. There's so many ways to tweak it, you can conjure up dang near ANY gain tone you can dream of. It can be overwhelming!!! But it's totally worth it once you get to know all those knobs and switches. I like it so much, I wrote two original short tunes to show it off in this video!!!

Let me know any questions you've got about it and I'll get right back with ya.

Next piece of gear you'd like to see featured on Meet the Machines?

On this episode of Meet the Machines, Uncle Ben Eller here is gonna take you on a guided tour through this brutality work station. Whatever your high gain flavor is, you can probably create it with the Uber Ultra!!! I cooked up a couple snazzy little ditties for you all to enjoy. One is a little hairy, the other is a little scary! All tones are straight into the amp, no pedals required. Its insane! Might be the most flexible high gain amp ever. Sole Doubt

Id like to see you review and talk about a solid state amp. Thanks uncle Ben

I still have my triple Rectumfrier I got in like 2001 - how does the Bogner compare to the Mesa gain structures?

Tor

How about a Meet the Machines where you just talk about all your Les Pauls? Like, what you like about each of them, how they're different, and things like that. I'd love that. Same with your Suhrs, Jacksons, and so on.

Erik Berg

How about a MtM focused on gigging? If you were to start getting next week, what one guitar, amp and pedals/modeler would you pick? $3000 budget.

Brian Born

Well that was entertaining and informative. The info regarding knobs is the kind of detail you only get from Ben. Love my weekend mornings with Uncle.

Jake Raymor

Wow that thing sounds fucking awesome. How do you build a poor mans version of the heavy tone? My wife will castrate me if I spend $2k on something like this

JS

Uncle Ben, REALLY want to know how you are taming the volume on this 100w beast so that your neighbors are not coming after you with pitchforks & demon socks! Also, my stepmom wants to know what conditioner you use. She said she likes this look way more betterist than the perm you had in middle school. Thanks!

Elton Young

MtM Just a clean pedal amp - amp you would use specifically for pedals and modelers

Paul Jones

With all the progress in the amp sim world (i am a long time bias fx2 user), it is good to know that there are still some good hardware options out there. The Bogner sounds so versatile!

BenEllerGuitars

Hey dude! I user the UA Ox with all my amps; I can run it into my interface at any volume I want through my monitors, run it through a cab at whatever volume I want, or even a blend of the two! It rules!

BenEllerGuitars

For conditioner, I use whatever cruelty-free stuff my wife buys me hahaha... the real secret is not overwashing; I only shampoo once every like 4 days.

Joe McKenna

More MtM in general! I love gear talk.

Joe McKenna

Goddamn that doom mode 🧙‍♂️

John Shepherd

Maybe teach some old school rig control using volume and tone pots with just a mod effect and a delay. No multichannel amp (maaybe 2), no distortion pedals. Just amp gain controlled by said geetar knobs. What varying volume and tone does to fx response, etc. Call it 'How to play on someone else's much lesser rig and make it talk'.
