Member when we paid $100/hr for a fraction of the value you get from this one video? These are the days. Also: this is great companion lesson for improv week (month?).

I've a hard time hearing that Am. I hear it when the curfew note accidentally lands on Am but how to generally improve recognizing the current playing chord?

Ryan Moore

Thanks, Uncle Ben! Appreciate you and your work.....

Roy warren

Probably a great intro to chord tone soloing disguised as grunt work for nerds

Wow! I’ve been using the Vai method and the circle of 4ths method to a metronome. Slowly putting the notes in my head. This video has completely changed my attitude towards learning all of the notes. Totally applicable and fun. Should have been step one in learning all of the notes on my guitar. Terrific video Uncle Ben.

Vincent Birlouez

Absolutely brilliant. Something to apply to learning in general. Thank you so much !!!

James Acton

Awesome! This speaks to me. I’ve got a better handle on finding the notes from the first 15 minutes of this lesson than from my last few months of chromatic memory training.

I loved this lesson man. Thank you! Seriously has helped me visualize the neck in a whole new way. Once you go through each string and start to get more comfortable with note names and locations, then across with the Jin and tonic in Am, is there a next level or progression you would suggest from there? Chapter 2 vid perhaps? You’re the fuckin man. -Nate

I've been playing for 30 years and nothing has felt like the breakthrough I've just had over the last hour playing along. I've tried everything - going horizontally makes it so much easier to understand what is going on!

If I improvise over the top and I get kind of lost and it sounds terrible, should I just walk up and down the string for longer ? I just finished learning Orion & Satch boogie, I thought that was tough, this is kicking my butt !
