A classic Simpsons Treehouse of Horror scene that revisits my head every year— it only felt right to tap into that debauchery (especially since Ceran's favorite treat are them very same frosted fried delights)! The way I tend to spin it, is ultimately Paulie is a demon of corruption who thrives on the TRUE carnal indulgence. He scores an added boost of demonic power for every soul he manages to affect; siphoning off energy from each as they descend into their sinful vices. While he gets a kick out of taunting his elf neighbor in general, having him fail to resist his temptations is all the more delicious. It just so happens that's Ceran's weakness rises in his appetite, harboring a desire to let loose wild and ravenous without concern of matching societal expectations. This is an EASY exploit (though Paulie would prefer him more indignant about it, if at least for the sake of kayfabe). Sometimes he underestimates the elf's defiant resilience.
