For the Ambient Presets tier and up!

We all love generative ambient. You know, the type that you could put on the background and listen to for hours because it's always changing, ever evolving, and transports you to another time and space entirely. Surely, at some point it's crossed your mind...how do you actually make music like that?

That's where I come in! In this Patreon Exclusive tutorial, I walk you through step by step how to make a generative ambient piece from scratch in VCV Rack. Even if you aren't familiar with working in VCV Rack, this tutorial is meant to help you get your hands dirty and build this rack from the ground up.

I'm also offering up the session as a downloadable file so you can download it yourself to get prepared. If you are missing any modules (except the Host FX module - don't worry about that one!) you can open the session below to check before we get started. If you're on a newer Mac, the Instruo modules won't load either, but they will in a future update.

Let me know how you got on with it in the comments below!

Really cool results! Lots of interesting ideas to mess around with! Not just in VCV but even on my regular synths, for example in Hyperion, or Phaseplant. Great job on this one!

will this work on the free version of VCV?
