Stuck on Stepic only having 16 steps? Not so fast...

When it comes to sequencers, we all know that Stepic is one of the best around. Not only is it extremely powerful, but it's also really useful for all kinds of sequencing applications. From sequences, to percussion, to even chords and pads, Stepic can do it all.

There was some chatter recently about Stepic needing to have more than 16 steps per pattern. And yes, while that would be nice, there's also an extremely easy way to already do this which I will show you in this video.

Is this the way you guys are using Stepic to get 32 step sequences? Let me know in the comments!

Cheers,

Still don't have Stepic? I'm shocked! Get it here: https://bit.ly/3QLkkmj

Wow, that was fast, Chris. I was just reading new comments on the Synphaera Discord about chaining in Stepic, and Bam!...you throw up a tutorial about the topic. You da man!

How interesting. I've only known about the way you show of chaining successive sequences together here. So the thing I learned here is about being able to call specific sequence numbers through the automation lanes. That is an interesting alternative to think about in terms of doing things like splicing sequences, maybe for a call and response between differently programmed sequences, or invoking variations of a handful of notes occasionally for just part of a sequence.

Yup...she's a beaut, Clark! She's a beaut!

I use Stepic more than once in each project and I always forget about this feature.

HI Chris, Love your tutorials! The new sequencer functions in Pigments 5 look amazing. What sorts of things does Stepic offer that the Pigments 5 sequencer does not?
