In this episode of Sequenced Space Ambient, we’re taking our track to the next level by focusing on movement, transitions, and tension. We’ll start by shaping the overall flow of the track, ensuring it evolves naturally with smooth progression. Then, we’ll explore how to drift sequences in and out using filtering and volume fades, allowing elements to emerge and disappear seamlessly. To heighten the emotional impact, we’ll strip things back in the middle section, using minimalism to create drama and contrast. Finally, we’ll build tension as we push toward the finish, using modulation, spatial effects, and rhythmic subdivisions to add a sense of momentum and resolution.

As always, I’m offering up the presets used in this video so you can experiment with these techniques in your own productions. You can download them using the link below. Let me know what you think in the comments, and stay tuned for the next installment as we dive even deeper into the art of sequenced space ambient!

Hi Chris, you nailed it !! ''Marvellous, the defining of audio - visual language, iterating the experience of actually successfully, composing music of this esoteric style, you might reference, Berlin School 2026... Controlling emotional tone and curating outputs, the building of continuity between the making of a track and the final development of an Album. This series is wonderful and full of creative student-authorship, dialogue.'' Thanks for that, Chris. Long live, SOL... (PS Love the new SOL n free plug-in)
