Here’s an exclusive preview for Patreon supporters of Waymaker by Aqeel Aadam Sound. This modular sequencer goes far beyond traditional MIDI tools, giving you deep control over evolving patterns, pitch transformations, and plugin integration. You can chain generators, modifiers, and branching logic into something that feels responsive and alive.

In this video I walk through how Waymaker connects with other AAS plugins like Weeping Wall and Ridgewalk and show how it can be used as a central brain for building complex musical motion. It’s still early but already powerful, and I think a lot of you will find inspiration in what it can do. Waymaker will be available this Friday, May 9th.

Cheers and enjoy,

I love Stepic. I've never got on with Harmony Bloom (not enough control for me). This though...

Oh my wallet! Thanks for the preview. You introduced me to the excellent Stepic and this looks like the next.... Step...

Oh my, I’ve always hoped Stepic would be able to do this one day. Because remaking sequences on the fly is quite awesome. I’ve done that on occasion in Bitwig, but that takes work, so it’s nice to have it right there in a plugin, ready to play with. I hope the plugin isn’t as expensive as Ridgewalk, lol, because I like it a lot now. With Ridgewalk though I had a weird experience, I wonder if I’m the only one. I know you loved it from the get-go, but me, I couldn’t get it to do anything that sounded listenable. In my hands it was just annoying, against the grain of the music it was sampling from. I installed the trial three times before the full price kicked in, really gave it a try. Same with Weeping Wall, for me it was producing its “drops” at like the worst times, not making sense musically. Weird, and quite possibly more of a comment on myself than on the plugins 😊
