I made a quick short on the Hydrasynth today and was thinking it might be good as a long form video as well. Would you like to see extended video jams like this on the Hydra?

Cheers and enjoy!

I believe the camera angle needs to be vertically over the synth for maximum display visibility and the synth would need to be laid flat if possible. You could then also incorporate the result of Hydra's sound design output into Ableton to create the track. I am not a Hydra user so for me such video would be more of a familiarisation experience and an understanding of how your process comes together by combining the best of both worlds.

First of all, I really hope this Patreon thing works out for you and that you're able to give more time to making music and encouraging the rest of us. I've much appreciated your Youtube vids and look forward to going a bit deeper. To answer your question about Hydra, personally I'm pretty much a beginner, software-only, and also only really make music for my own interest; I am uploading a few pieces to Bandcamp, but as an aid to focus rather than with any expectation that people will buy them (which they haven't...). But while an extended Hydra jam might not be of technical interest to me, it would of course be great to hear what you do with it and get a chance to hear sounds that I wouldn't otherwise. And also, while you're doing it you may well get ideas that can be translated into the software field: your recent vid on looping envelopes started with Hydra (no use to me) and finished with Vital (my sound-design synth of choice); I instantly sat down and made a piece using those techniques. So, keep on doing what you want to do, and I'm sure I and others will be encouraged and inspired.
