Building Towards the Future... (Patreon)

As predicted, 2022 is off to a wild start! With so much happening in the world and so much happening in our own lives, it's crucial to reflect on the things that truly matter. One of those things for me is building this community, as well as with those who follow me on other platforms as well. 

Sometimes I feel like Ambient Atlas holding up the my own little world, and the weight feels pretty unbearable, but then I realize how lucky I am to be doing what I'm doing and how grateful I am to have those who truly support me. If you're reading this message, you are one of those people and for that, I just want to say thank you!

With only so many hours in the day to get done what I want to get done, my plans often outweigh my commitments and responsibilities so please bear with me. I've got BIG plans for new music, content, videos, presets, and all kinds of new stuff for all of you in 2022! It's just going to take more time to start checking them off my list.

Plan is: Make and release my music. Build up something. I love making music for myself, but sharing it with like minded people is the next step.

Hi Chris, great thoughts! I cannot thank you enough for your investment in the Ambient Community - You are way up there, thousands of followers, regular but most importantly high quality content and a personality which lights up a room and shines light into how we are all creators only bound by the dynamics of the physical world we live in. It is a beautiful World and we are the proof of that, whether it is expressing ourselves or helping others or simply listening to others. Firstly one big word for you: RESPECT! Thank You for doing this and sending your energies towards our creative radars. My plan for 2022 is to understand synthesis in greater detail but most importantly learn the fundamentals of music theory, without which I feel as I am trying to guide myself in the dark. Often one puts the expectations of their own end results before the arduous steps necessary to get there and this can have a detrimental effect leading to rushing things through i.e. the combination in being technically demanding with being highly creative is where true magic happens and there is no shortcut to getting there other than making the journey oneself and still accept that the end result may not be "perfect". My plan is also to continue supporting your work, acknowledging the fact that what you are doing something very important. A BIG Thank You and see you very soon :)

Honestly, what's been mentioned here before. Finishing more tracks to get better at this. The hardest thing is finding the time to be consistent, and show up daily while still being a good partner, dad, employee... You know the drill!
