Hi everyone, I've been putting together a list of tips (with the help of ChatGPT-4) for those of us who struggle with procrastination and anxiety in the early stages of music production. I hope this helps someone.

1. **Break down tasks:** Break your music production work into smaller, manageable tasks. This will make the entire process less daunting and help you focus on one task at a time. 2. **Set realistic goals:** Establish short-term and long-term goals for your music production journey. Make sure your goals are realistic, specific, and attainable. This will give you a sense of direction and motivation. 3. **Create a routine:** Establish a regular schedule for working on your music. Allocate specific times and days for music production, and try to stick to that routine as much as possible. 4. **Start small:** Don't try to create a masterpiece right away. Focus on creating small pieces or experimenting with new sounds or techniques. This will help build your confidence and momentum. 5. **Manage your expectations**: Understand that producing music is a learning process and that it takes time to improve. Don't be too hard on yourself if your work doesn't sound perfect right away. 6. **Find inspiration:** Surround yourself with music, artists, and producers that inspire you. Listen to their work, watch tutorials or interviews, and try to learn from their creative processes. 7. **Collaborate with others:** Working with others can be a great way to overcome fear and procrastination. Collaborating can lead to new ideas, help you learn new techniques, and offer a support system for when you're feeling stuck. 8. **Eliminate distractions:** Create a workspace that is conducive to creativity and free from distractions. Turn off notifications, close unrelated browser tabs, and set your phone to "Do Not Disturb" mode. 9. **Use productivity techniques:** Experiment with productivity techniques like the Pomodoro Technique or time-blocking to stay focused and manage your time efficiently. 10. **Stay accountable:** Share your goals and progress with friends, family, or online communities. This will help you stay accountable and motivated to continue working on your music. 11. **Reflect on your progress:** Regularly review your work and progress to see how far you've come. This will remind you of your accomplishments and help you build confidence in your abilities.

Money is tight right now but I am considering buying Stepic. I've got Cthulhu from Xfer and Riffer already. Riffer is ok but I always have to have the window open otherwise it won't run and Cthulhu just flat out doesn't work sometimes. I still like Riffer sometimes but I wish I never bought Cthulhu. Would Stochas be a good free alternative to Stepic? I'm trying to be mindful of my expenses due to taxes being right around the corner.
