As tough as it was, I sent the Trigon-6 back to zZounds and decided it was time to give the Hydrasynth Deluxe a spin. First impressions? Amazing. Having owned the Hydrasynth Desktop for nearly 2 years gave me plenty of time to come to grips with the layout and interface and I was instantly FLYING across this 73 key monster of a synth with ease.

The biggest difference with the "Deluxe" is obviously the voice count (16 instead of 8) and it's also multi-timbral. Meaning, there are two separate sets of stereo outputs on the back for upper and lower. It's like having TWO Hydrasynths in one synth! It's pretty crazy. Also missing on my desktop was the "ribbon" controller which is instantly fun the moment I touched it.

Expect me to show this off now that I've finally got my hands on it! Bang for the buck, this is by FAR the best value in synths. I love it.

Get the Deluxe here (play as you pay!): https://bit.ly/3rhc4n1

Congrats on the purchase! I was lucky enough to get a Deluxe just over a month ago and for me it's a keeper. The extra voice count makes a huge difference, but the whole thing feels more rounded now compared to the desktop I tried a couple of years ago thanks to all the operating system updates. It's now possible to get convincing "analog" tones as well as the "digital" tones it is more normally associated with... It makes a great master keyboard too - hope it's a keeper for you too...
