The latest update to everyone's favorite sequencer is here!

Stepic 1.5 just dropped and as I'm sure you're already guessing, it's awesome! I was once again asked my Jens at Devicemeister to do a walkthrough video for all the new features but before you watch that video (linked above) let me give you a quick rundown...

I'm calling this update the "playability" update which basically turns Stepic into a playable instrument. Say what? Stepic 1.5 adds the ability to "play" Stepic as an arpeggiator, chord sequencer, and transposition tool using the new "MIDI Play" functions in 1.5. Not only is the new MIDI Play powerful, but it's also ridiculously fun.

Also added in this update is MIDI Mapping for pattern switching, which is a really nice addition for live performance aspects. You can easily map any key on your keyboard to switch any of Stepic's 16 patterns on the fly. There's also MIDI Thru built right in, so you can pass MIDI messages through Stepic to any device downstream in your chain.

All in all, Stepic 1.5 is a really great update to an already fantastic sequencer. Oh and did I not mention this update is once again FREE for all existing users. It's also fully compatible with the latest version of FL Studio, FL Studio 21. Still don't have Stepic yet? What are you waiting for!
