BOOM! Ambient Secrets Volume 1 - Bliss the Bliss

In this tutorial series, I want it to be filled with in the type of secrets that I wish I had when I was first starting out. I want you to offer up that extra ".01%" that it takes to further your journey and to help you make better music than you could have possibly imagined.

Here in volume 1, we're talking about effects stacking and the concept of using multiple different effects to really take a simple sound into something that sounds gorgeous and fill of rich harmonics that will hopefully be the perfect backdrop for your next ambient track.

Hopefully you guys enjoy this one! Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Cheers,

Massive cool tutorial, Chris! Bliss the Bliss, Baby! I've been doing more of stacking effects lately, but this tutorial gives me a bit more of a focused direction. Focused Chaos!

T H I S is absolutely amazing Chris. Thanks a lot! Looking forward to Vol. 2

As a beginner I thought of stacking reverbs to get that washed out feeling but it missed something. With stacking delays I immediately felt that subtle moving of the pad. Almost like painting an animated background to use as a canvas (Bob Ross would be proud of us)

For years I was told to never put reverb before delay. Until relatively recently, I never asked why. A few months ago, I figured, why not try it. It was a gorgeous sound! Just got to be careful to not go overboard. Yes, there really can be such a thing as too much reverb....
