Patreon exclusive version for the Ambient Tutorials tier and up!

Adding rhythm to your ambient music can be a fun but very difficult aspect of producing to master! Not only are there a ton of considerations - tempo, rhythm, and type of samples, but the actual results might not be exactly what you want. Whether you're just starting out, or have some experience in adding percussion to your tracks, it's always helpful to get some tips and that's what this video is all about.

Hopefully you guys enjoy this one! Let me know what you think in the comments below and thanks for supporting me on Patreon.

Very helpful, since I am a patreon member I find myself creating templates and start the creative process much faster. Where I first sit in front of the daw, creating a pad and then spend an hour or so to fill in the effects and EQ, I know grab a track preset that contains all I need and can play directly. The same goes for drumracks (but that is for me in a later stage)

Great video, Chris. I've been wanting to take time to up my game on my beat sections and this is a huge help. Also a good reason to re-listen to Periphery and Sonic Awakening.
