Beginner tutorial for all tiers!

As a beginner, it's difficult to know where to go next. Whether it's just learning the basics of sound design, or having a good understanding of where things sit in the mix, it's always helpful to see someone do things like this in real time so you can apply these techniques to your own productions.

In this 30+ minute tutorial, I create four distinct parts to form a track that is focused on building space and depth. Hopefully you guys enjoy this tutorial and it helps you see that anything is possible and with the right amount of thought and care into the sounds that you are creating, new worlds will start to emerge.

If you want to pick up any of the software I'm using, I'll leave the links below.

Cheers and enjoy,

Have been impacted by the videos and am now in a better position to reproduce the sounds. Now have Surum Vital and pigments. Very excited by the sound quality of these machines.

"With the use of simple tools and simple effects, you can accomplish great things. It doesn't take much to bring out the best qualities of these sounds. And then you can juxtapose them in a way that this music just...happens." Another great tutorial. Thanks! This time, after being around now for a few months, I was so much more comfortable in Ableton and working in the synths. I have organized Ableton well enough now that I know where to find things I need and use in a few clicks, and I've learned enough of the basics of each synth (serum, vital, pigments) that I could follow along much more easily and efficiently (my first tutorial took me something like 3 days(!). This time, multiple synths? a few hours). And, even if you whipped out a synth I've never seen? No problem. Now, I could do the basics in any synth you put in front of me, even if I've never seen it before, as soon as I figure out where things are located and how to map them. You say, "There are realities out there where you could dream up a reality that is...reality." These tutorials are the place where those dreams are made. :) <3
