If there's one thing I love it's generative ambient music. Not only is it satisfying to listen to, but I love creating it from scratch using any method that I can. Whether it's hardware (Hydrasynth), virtual modular, or even using my pedalboard I enjoy the challenge of making things that draw you in and want to listen for hours on end.

I was working in the studio this weekend and I thought it might be fun to turn the camera on and show you guys my process. Not only that, I have supplied you with the VCV Rack patch that I created and showcased in the video. Hopefully this helps you guys understand how this was made and gives you a point of reference to take your own explorations further.

Cheers and thanks again!

I like the combinations, thanks for sharing.

Great vid - and walkthrough. Enjoying the recent attention to VCV and integrating with Live. Question: I just wanted to confirm that none of the Instruō modules for VCV2 work in a ARM environment? Also finding this for NYSTHI modules as well?

Generative synth music has it's own mystique.

Great idea to record the VCV patch and then treat it. I don't have the same tools as you but was able to get a really nice result from one of my own relatively simple patches. Top inspiration! By the way, have you actually uploaded the Rack patch, as I don't see a link.

Does this require the Pro version of VCV Rack?

Good fun patch, but as Das Glitch said in your recent Podcast... I'm finding myself using the Bitwig Grid more and more for Modular/Generative/Sequenced stuff... However, In a 180 degree u-turn, I've just fed this into Olancha Farewell at 100% wet and it's crazy good!
