Another exclusive for all tiers!

In this in-depth sound design tutorial, I walk you through and explain what the "Functions" tab in Pigments 5 is all about and how to use them! Functions is another work for "MSEG" which stands for Multi Segmented Envelope Generator. It's a fancy word, but they're actually pretty simple to understand! Once you do understand how to use them, they can be a powerful source of modulation in an already powerful synthesizer.

What about you? Did you know how powerful the functions were before this video? What's your favorite use for them? Want me to cover any other parts of Pigments we might have missed? Let me know in the comments below!

Cheers and enjoy,

Great tutorial Chris. I'm really new to sound design and I'm a little bit daunted by it all. Your tutorials seem to simplify it which great for me. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome. I followed along with Martin's sound design yesterday which introduced functions, and now you have taken the details to the next level. I'm going to be experimenting with this for a long time! Thanks.

That was a killer demo! I've been ignoring the "functions" section since I bought Pigments a couple of weeks ago. Now I've got something new to play with.
