Let's dive in and discover the secrets of Ascendant...

If there's one thing I love, it's Ascendant. Specifically, the sound that gets created, the vibe, and everything about the music. The question is, how does it get created? Well luckily you've got one half of the band as your teacher! In this video, we're going to take a deep dive into how these tracks are started and where they go from there.

As promised in the video, here are the 4 presets that were used in the creation of this video!

Great tutorial and yes a part 2 for arrangement would be great too. I love Ascendant, so I would love to see even more Ascendant related tutorials.

As much as I love starting and fleshing out projects, I'd love to see how you tackle the "END GAME" - the part we all lose steam at and start getting bored with. The part that's really critical because it's the spit and polish. And the final mixing stages.

Chris

Kick ass tutorial, Chris! Thank you! I can't wait for #2.

Paul Daniel Russell

Another great tutorial Chris. Looking forward to Part 2 ! Thank you for sharing. Cheers, Paul.

Superb tutorial, thanks Chris. Could I request a short tutorial on how you use the buses on the Utility template. I've been using the template for over a year now and I'm not aware of any benefits in using buses. Thanks again, your enthusiasm is infectious.

Friggin' brilliant, Chris. Gobsmacked at what you can do with just 4 layers. Many, many thanks for doing this fantastic tutorials. Would love to see more Ascendant tutorials - absolutely loving the new album and wondering how you put some of those incredible tracks together.
