Daily Doug ACCEPTED RECOMMENDATIONS Master List (for Patrons) - updated September 2024

Wow, we're up to 88 EPLs on the list! At 2 EPLs per month, that would last almost 4 years! Not a bad problem to have, I suppose.

The EPL recommendations (in general) seem to get the most upvotes on Discord, but I've been trying to submit more individual tracks lately. They don't seem to get as much support as the EPLs though.

Good to see some Wilco on the list. There's a whole host of amazing music from that band over the years. Real genre-busting stuff!

Ruth James

Looking forward to The Globalist by Muse reaction. I know you will love it, Doug 🙂

Gerry Rafferty

Joined after your brillant porcupine tree reactions , however Genesis in the cage medely from three sides live is fantastic so I see it’s on the master list so can’t wait till you get to it , would be a brillant Friday one

Wow, what a workload! Naturally I was hoping that ELO first album would make the list, but when I look at the music still waiting to be covered I think there's more than enough already. I'm curious how the choices are made to get on the list - must be a very difficult job.

It's very tricky, Adie...the worst part of my job is saying 'no, for now'. I also receive requests via direct email from around the world. It's a bit overwhelming at times.

It’s a great master list, but will you ever manage to get through them all @doug? 😁 The Swedish prog group Flower Kings is “heavily” represented with three songs and an album. Roine Stolt, who also plays guitar with Steve Hackett on the occasional tour, has been a member since mid 90-ties. I think they’re great 👍🏻 😁

I can hardly imagine! As Daily Doug grows, so the workload grows (and presumably exponentially). Soon, no doubt, the whole thing starts to seriously test one's business management skills. Good luck to you both as you forge your way forward 👍🏻

Spock's Brear V album please...and Jon & Vangelis Friends of Mr Cairo

Jethro Tull's Too Old to Rock... should be added as well. The music is really well produced. It's a concept album that is basically a comic strip, but was originally meant for a film that was never made.
