Our last Poll for our last Fan Favorites episode of the year is now upon us. In this special year-ending video, I'll count down our favorite dozen songs that were first submitted via discord.

Your task is to select your favorite five options. Here's a YouTube Playlist for your convenience: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO0n3LrUjxKqKtyquMKwzvGBO65IeeN00&si=W7sOSlIM9maEcYVn

These selections are arranged according to their relative popularity from the first round of voting on Discord. The poll will end on Monday, December 2. Happy Voting!

Guitar Channel

Good to see PFM, one of the greatest bands from Italy. (One of the greatest bands from anywhere.)

Matthew Hackbert

Queensrÿche seems to have just missed cutoff too. Blast!

Fran B

Sorry that was directed to Gaylan for beating me 😂

Fort-Man

In case there's any confusion - Yes, Doug has reacted to KC's "21st C Schizoid Man" studio version. This is a live version from 2015 with their 7 person lineup.

Adrian Goodrich

Fascinating selection here! I suggested "Lunar Sea" on Discord. I considered suggesting "21st Century Schizoid Man, but dismissed it cos I knew Doug had already done it. Except, I now realise...not a live version! And, mindful of the current leaderboard artistes, my final list was "Surrender" by U2; "The King of Sunset Town" or "Berlin" by Marillion; "the Magician's Birthday" or "The Spell" by Uriah Heep, or "Grave New World" by the Strawbs. (Ok, and a couple of others I dismissed as I thought unlikely to get much traction.) So I'm absolutely delighted that all these superb bands are represented, and they get my votes. ps Delighted to to see Kansas and GG and PFM represented and looking good!

Karl Stubsjoen

Neverland by Marillion is my favourite song from the album Marbles (which is really good) and from the Steve Hogarth period (which spans 30 years now) as a whole. My vote is on Marillion this time. I’m NOT a Gentle Giant fan (many votes), so I’m hoping King Crimson will win this vote 😉👍🏻

Matt B

Come on, let's see some more love for Nightwish! They're one of the biggest bands in their field of music, and yet they're languishing not far from the bottom...their version of Walking In The Air is an EPIC track and deserves more votes! :-)

Alex Libia

Neverland by Marillion is an amazing song and this live performance highlights Marillions brilliance as a live band. Doug won't be disappointed

Bubbalino

Most if not all of the Strawbs songs on this channel have been short. This selection is a true prog journey and like others have said, would be something "new" for us all.

opelletier

PFM! That one is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind record.

Tom (the soggy one)

Where's the Yes love? New Language is an awesome song, at least the equal of their 1970's mini-epics.

Joakim Skurk

Not a big fan of these lists as they mostly feature the big names. Wish there were more hidden gems. Happy to see Jeff Wayne and PFM included.
