As Megan and I get closer to our move, I've now identified that this month's Fan Favorites video will be the last video that I record in our current space. I'm eagerly anticipating our "3.0" launch next month from our new home, and I'm also looking to tie up as many loose ends as I possibly can before moving.

I've decided to reach out to all of our Doug's Angels Patrons who have not yet had an opportunity to provide an 'Angel's Selection' for a Fan Favorites video. These seven folks, plus our Discord Administrator KMach1ne, will provide the musical selections for this month's video. I speak more about this in this announcement video.

Doug, I think this is a fantastic idea. Anything that clears out the queue a bit is a good thing and it’s nice that all of the Doug’s Angels will have a reaction now! Also - I think someone mentioned something like this in the last council meeting - a newcomers’ Fan Favorites episode every once in a while might also be a good way to get their feet wet in the community.

Thank you Doug. Once I realized what you were after I knew instantly what I would request. The song is Evidence of Autumn by Genesis, which for some inexplicable reason was left off Duke. It has touched my heart from the moment I heard it and continues to do so to this day

I think this is a great idea, and I will be fascinated to hear the choices. Very best wishes Doug and Megan for your move. I'm looking forward to seeing the new room and experiencing new ideas. Speaking of getting emotional - that actually happened just recently when I discovered Maphra through your reaction, Doug! Despite having watched hundreds, maybe even thousands of reactions on YT over the years, the algorithm somehow failed to introduce me to Maphra earlier when her covers went viral. After your reaction, I was watching other Maphra reactions back to back for at least 2 days straight, I just couldn't get enough. The raw emotion in her voice brings me to tears every damn time, so thanks for your reaction, Doug! So, for my selection, I'll pick one of the first songs that had a similar impact on me, long ago: "Barcelona" by Freddie Mercury ft. Montserrat Caballé. When I discovered this one, I've already been a big Queen fan, but usually can't stand Opera music (mainly because of the operatic singing style). But Montserrat Caballé's angelic voice is just undeniably beatiful and captivating, as is Freddy's theme song for the 1992 Summer Olympics.
