Hey y'all!

For the third time, I'm going through the Master List and selecting several songs that I'm particularly interested in but haven't yet reviewed on the main channel.

I think there's something here for everyone...some prog, classic rock, metal, blues...

PICK YOUR TOP 6 CHOICES! The poll will run through  August 20.

Thanks, as always, for your participation!

Really should delve into Renaissance. Very Prog, classical & a trained Opera singer. Annie Haslam. You’ll be intrigued, fascinated & impressed.

Gary Thobaben

Hey Just! That’s the song w the octatonic riff I mentioned during the OK Computer livestream! It’s 0-2 though, not 0-1. Gotta be in here just for that.

Jan Jaap Langereis

I would love to hear your comments on Summoned by bells…… (I’m actually the one playing the recorder in that song, so I should not be asking that……).

Rod Barbee

Great to see Sigur Ros on the list. They just released a stunning new album

Illume Eltanin

How exciting to see two of my suggestions listed! Dr. Doug, if Panopticon makes the cut, will you do a compare and contrast between the Bright Side and the Dark Side mix, as I believe I suggested in the recommendation?

The Black Queen

I think you mistakenly made this a one vote poll instead of a multiple vote poll

Adrian Goodrich

Ace of Wands is superb. July Morning is great. But Ashes are Burning is beyond that. Any of these three please, but for me Ashes Are Burning The Way.

Adrian Goodrich

Do lyricists get any better than the superb poetess Betty Thatcher? Travel the days of freedom Roads leading everywhere Come with me now, and show how you care Follow the dying embers Cross on the paths they lay Breath of the past, the earth's yesterday Clear your mind, maybe you will find That the past is still turning Circles sway, echo yesterday Ashes burning, ashes burning Colours are fading starlight Silver the way to find Walking the shadows, there in our mind Changing the order slowly Leaving the mist of time Fingers are holding, fragments of mine Clear your mind, maybe you will find That the past is still turning Circles sway, echo yesterday Ashes burning, ashes burning Imagine the burning embers They glow below and above Your sins you won't remember And all you'll find there is love Ashes are burning brightly The smoke can be seen from afar So now you're seeing how far Ashes are burning the way Ashes are burning the way

Neale Brassell

Some really awesome choices this month. Ashes are Buring and Ace of Wands will be shoe-ins, but I really hope to see July Morning and Into the Black Hole and United States of Eurasia too.

Richard

Nothing on here I know so I'll await the verdict of the knowing. I particularly enjoy you exploring the music of my twenties: Yes, Genesis, Supertramp, Pink Floyd etc and in that context I'd like to recommend Wishbone Ash 'Argus', Barclay James Harvest 'Everyone is Everybody Else' and Steve Winwood's Steve Winwood album!

Aaron E Austin

Interesting to see Ayreon in the same list as these. It feels like an odd-man-out type of thing. But I dig it.

Richard Moore

Ashes Are Burning has been awaiting its turn far too long. Why does it only let me select 1 song?

Steve Hartke

Can’t vote for things I don’t know… only three were familiar with me…

Ray Sincere

Interestingly enough, there's only one song on this list that I actually know. It's by Gentle Giant. Luckily, it's doing well.

Dave Cohen

Ashes are Burning should be the Live version from the Carnegie Hall album.

Max Eliaser

Sigur Ros is worth everyone's time to check out even if it doesn't win.

Digibirder

Flying Colors is modern prog at it’s best. I’m sure Doug and a lot of the people here will enjoy “Infinite Fire”.

Richard Stoney

Would strongly recommend to Doug to review Ace of Wands as part of an extended play of the whole Voyage of the Acolyte album of Steve’s (Especially now that it has topped the poll). A classic progressive concept album.

Tom (the soggy one)

If "Ashes Are Burning" makes the cut (as it surely will), please use the original album version. I've heard others say the "Live At Carnegie Hall" version, but that whole album is incredible and should, in my opinion, be treated as a possible EPL. Maybe get Annie Haslam in to help out with it. But please due the recorded "Ashes" for the Fan Favorites. Thanks!
