Lore crumbs YUM

MerryHoliday

So what's their take on same sex marriages then? Especially if it's to secure families and connections. Can surrogacy or adoption be an option ?

Because marriage is for conception (as having kids legitimizes connections) they don't do same-sex marriage. Trans Narakyian will marry though if the couple can have kids. This isn't to say that same-sex couples don't want to marry, a lot of them do, the culture just sort of sucks that way as it hyper focuses on bloodlines.

I always love when you put out lore, you can tell the love put into the world. Although I assume based on how they are described, nobles don't exactly like same sex marriages since they don't produce heirs?

Cloud

Same-sex marriages are pretty non-existant except between trans couples because kids can't be produced (not to say it doesn't happen, there's a lot of same-sex narakyian couples out there that want to marry for romantic/family reasons, but that's seen as taboo. i completely imagine there's a market for underground devotion ceremonies or something tho)

Cloud

(and thank you!)

Zee

So is having kids out of wedlock taboo?

KamurochoKat

I love getting to read more about the lore of your world!

_Pogona_

I love the lore drops 😍 I know you will probably make a post about it in the future but I can't help but wonder how does transitioning work in your amazing world...🤭

Apathy Gremlin

I just love your world building it's very engaging, such gorgeous illustrations too And of course, really great context for Kor and Kaede's little adventures

Yup, it's very taboo. But it rarely happens due to how available birth control is. Also narakyian struggle to get pregnant from just one encounter.

Cloud

There will eventually be a lore drop for this because it's pretty cool!

_Pogona_

Omggg thank you so much cloud ur literally the best 🥹🥰

bubble4u

Now im curious how Kaede and kor will link the rope with each other?? Are they gonna do wrist to horn?? Wrist to wrist?? OH ooorrr will they mix both races ceremonies together?? Sorry for all the questions lol 😆

Cloud

I've thought on it and it will happen eventually but it's a secret for now.

Mip

Lore mentioned 🚨!!! I love these lore drops, I adore the species and all their world building. Wonderous!

Peachy Packrat

Aaaaaa I love world building stuff like this 🥰 GIMME MOOORE (at your own time/pace of course… but seriously FEED ME LORE PLS) It makes me curious how many “secret relationships” there are since “Love” is so taboo in their culture. Judging by our own RL taboos and how many people defy the norm, I always assume it’s more than just our main characters who are capable of breaking it, they just have to hide it well amongst their peers. (Obviously our Nara and Wasai are trying to hide those dangerous feelings, but I bet they ain’t the only ones 😤)

Cloud

It's way more common then Narakyian think. I've definitely featured a few who have those feelings, they just don't know what to do with them 'i just wanna be super 'close' to my best friend!"
