As always, your use of color is *chefs kiss* Ah! Poor Kor! Is it just me or is that looking like some PSTD from the war?

Sleep is good. I was so tired when I first read this, I legit thought Kor lost his wings in the war (I was super zoomed in on the first panel), and then I was like kicking myself for thinking that cause he's been flying lovely little Kaede around since they met. I did have a little tiny bit of trouble figuring out the right reading sequences for Wasai and Kaede. Not sure if anyone else had problems with that, but I *think* it's Wasai's dialogue bubble poke up above the frame in the lower left panel, and so I initially wanted to go straight down from Nara's last panel to that panel next instead of to the right first (which I'm pretty sure is the next panel in the sequence, but not 100% sure). It reads alright either way though so maybe it doesn't terribly matter? I just found the layout a touch confusing and wanted to raise that point in case maybe other folks did too. I still really enjoyed this page a lot. Hopefully we can all get more of the sleep we need. :)

The thing is for Kaede's people, water magic is tight to their religion, so I wonder if they are even allow to share the magic? You know for humane reasons, cuz the rest of the dessert people, much less the children, aren't to blame for the stupidity of their government. But the culture differences and racism is too strong... Maybe not teach the magic, but send people that can do it as a deal? You know diplomatic relations, to built bonds to heal wounds the war let. I don't know it's an idea but with people pulling strings for behind and not so competitive king, I see this way too difficult 😓 I'm just thinking in those poor kids and all the people affected with the lack of water 😢

They're very protective of the magic unfortunately and believe only a select few should wield it, or even witness it.

JESUCRISTO so they are THAT kind of religion 😓 But even if the deal is no one is going to see them do their magic, it just to give water to people in need, like exportation, they would still say no? Even if people are dieing? 😰

I think in a perfect world if they all sat down they could come to an agreement but the Irenians don't trust Narakyian and saw a lot of the destruction they wrought in previous wars.

NOOOOO 😭 and the worst part I can't really blame Irenians, if people that are know for their war culture and also you have witness what they do, I would also be very very suspicious and paranoid, plus maybe some bad karma "you did horrible things and know you need help, fat chance, rot in hell" The bad part is if Narakyian get really desperate... I don't want to imagine what they do for the water 😨
