Since Kaede was eating some buns, I thought I'd expand on how they're made and the chefs that make them! Also cute bonus sketch of someone waiting for dough to rise. She's inbetween partners, probably shouldn't bake at 3am.

Buns as a staple food implies that this desert culture has an abundance of wheat, which would in turn suggest sedantary agriculture along relatively fertile tracts of land, such as river deltas.

Cloud

A tough type of wheat that barely needs water is grown yeah.

Lynx

Probably something like millet or barley then?

Cloud

Something like that. It can grow vertically along rockfaces.

Adrienne Blaylock

Ah so they would do stair step farming like the incas? I imagine some kinds of potatoes might do well too

CP M
