Goes great with your hair. However you are correct it is a bit much. Maybe if it was a navy blue of black it'd go better but it's much to bright for my liking.

I agree with your assessment. Too much of one color as it almost matches your hair. Needs contrast.

I don't think the problem is too much blue, or the wrong shade of blue - I think the problem is the released pleats or gathers of the top. There is too much fabric in front of your abdomen and gathered into the waistband. I also think the red of the handbag doesn't match the shoes or lipstick quite well enough. Yes, you probably should return the ensemble. It does look like a good leather, though. Are you willing to share the company? I understand that you may not want to do that.
