I kind of figured something like this was going to happen. Just because she had the FORM of a lynx, didn't mean she had the SCENT of a lynx. Of course, having all the clothes she has with her old scent on them, was PROBABLY a big give away, even if she DID now have a lynx scent. (She also, likely would have had a very similar scent to her human version anyway,which would likely have been a bit confusing.) I suspect the only reason he hasn't proposed to her yet was, he was waiting to see if she would confess her humanity.

they might have been brand new.. but they were clothing made and purchased in a human settlement. though i don't think scent would be the clue.. it was clear from the way she acted she wasn't used to being around keidran. no doubt she dropped lots of hints along the way.

It has been shown before that wearing the collar for extended periods can leave lingering/lasting changes/effects. That's probably why she was taking it off in the first place, "giving it a rest" so-to-speak, to try to hold off or delay these lingering effects.

well 2 situations that explain this. Either 1) he still thinks she's beautiful and doesn't realize she's the same person or 2) he does this to every pretty girl he sees. I like to imagine it's the first because tbh, she doesn't look all that different between the two forms.

Some friends and I (over on the Kevin and Kell webcomic chat) have speculated that the first time he proposed to her, she must have said something like “I’ll think about it…” Meaning that now he’s just reassuring her he still loves her, even as a human… that and/or as a blue eyed lynx, the prince is nearly or totally blind… and so hasn’t even noticed that Lt. Reed is a human, as her human scent is covered up by the leftover lynx scent on her clothes after the lynx royal family and Lt. Reed all slept together the previous night…

I wouldn't be so sure. Maeve has blue eyes, as does Adria. Both of them seem to have full visual faculty. I'd call Kat's eyes hazel in color, but her status as a crossbreed has a host of other health issues.

I wish I could agree, but I cite Maeve and Adria as having blue eyes. It could be because they are sneps, but they seem to have full vision. If anything, it would be canines that have any issues with a lack of red cones.

Well, I only said that because a friend of mine (as I have said, over on the Kevin and Kell chat) lives in Montana and she says she has experience with some lynx and it has been her experience that blue eyed lynx tend to be at least a bit visually impaired… I don’t know about snow leopards though… they may be better equipped, since they have adapted to living in the snow, where eyesight is more important…

Either works. Lynn going in for initial intel and ends up being not the advanced scout but the entire diplomatic approach. Then again you can't get anymore into being in the lynx kingdoms favor than becoming the wife of one of their royalty. Hell this works even if the prince is the type of have multiple wives. He found a human interesting enough.
