Going through so many years of her life with all the thoughts, impulses, and mannerisms of a man clashing with her natural way of thinking, only to have that all stripped away...would be very......confusing to say the least. Tom you've likely created one of the most interesting characters I've seen, and I'v written quite a few myself.

Without the link to her brother Nat seems to be able to focus on herself more as well as from what happend before she has accepted herself she will always be a tomboy, and she's more confident in herself, and I think after accepting her youngnat counterpart along with seeing the King of the Basitin, she sees being female as less of a weakness and more of a unique ability as shown when she says "I should have done this before." when she flirts with Keith.

I think he's been well aware that he's a man for a while, hasn't stopped appearing masculine. Those feelings do come from him, and he won't stop being his authentic self. He's just stopped thinking of the occasional feminine feeling as something foreign. After all, plenty of guys have feminine thoughts from time to time. As a fellow trans, I can relate, and I can totally tell how happy he is with his transition! :3

You must have missed the page after the Clovis fight where Nat says he's not planning to start wearing dresses. Or the pages where Youngtani explains that his gender identity wasn't "broken", he identified as a male before the curse, and he only started feeling that he was broken because Zen was afraid he'd messed up his "sister". :)

You must have missed where pre-break Natani consistently presents herself as female every single time she appears despite saying she liked to be seen as a boy... which would make sense when you're a girl who wants to fight and doesn't want to be treated like crap in a misogynist society. :)

Literally, Netari! Spot on. In the very same page where Youngtani tells Nat that she liked being seen as a boy, the preceding sentence is 'I don't mind being a girl'. Hence where I get my opinion as to the reasons behind Nat's perspective not being some kind of trans identity, but how she's SEEN. I.e., if you live in a society where women are terribly treated, not wanting to be seen as a woman is not the same thing as transgenderism as we understand it in the modern real world.

After seeing The basitin king and being seperated from her brother's mind i feel she can be more of herself, and view being female as less of a weakeness, which honestly for Nat was never a weakness there's even one point where she flirts with Keith and is like "I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE" Showing she clearly doesn't mind showing it anymore.

Yeah like I don't know why people intentionally ignore the context of Wolf society's misogyny and the several times Natani is shown to have an aversion to femininity because of, let's face it, the internalized misogyny that growing up in such a society inflicted on her. Those two factors are pretty significant in why someone who self-admittedly is okay with their body is not analogous to a real life transman.

From my understanding Natani only did it because she knew of the misogyny but i think that was mostly from Clovis who is ironically the same as Natani thanks to Nora, I also think Natani Owes Nora for cutting Clovis out of the link.... Though if natani were to have figured out how to turn the link on Clovis that'd be hilarious.. I Also recall Natani saying she got her ferocity from Zen, i wonder how that will change now that she does not have that to draw on? perhaps she will be more calm and colective instead of out right brute forcing things.

i'm not really disappointed, and i must say that even it's not really what i had in mind, ( though Nat will assume a little more her chest by using normal bindings instead of the magic ones) in the end it suits better Nat this way. And really, the short hair is incredible. Nat looks very beautiful this way and i'm so happy too see the katana tail return ^^

Unfortunately, not even Natani knows how he stands on the matter. Or would that be "she?" Thanks to recent events, things need to be figured out before a definite answer can be given, one way or the other. It may be best to stick to gender-neutral pronouns until this issue is cleared up.

The fact that Youngtani says that she liked being seen as a boy, and the fact that the reference sheet for adult Natani lists his birth sex as female but his gender identity as male, which is literally the definition of being transgender, puts it squarely out of the realm of fanon. It’s a very weird exercise in denial to have such an obviously trans character and then go around saying “nooooo he’s not actually trans because he didn’t act like a man before he realized he was one, please ignore the actual official reference sheet for the character.”

It confuses me when people say “they’re actually a tomboy” as a refutation of them being transmasculine. Like, you realize that it’s possible to be a tomboy and remain as a tomboy, and also possible to be a tomboy and then realize the reason you presented that way was because you’re trans and then pursue that. Youngtani was a Tomboy indeed, but either through magic or through discovery of his own true feelings, Natani became a man. In some ways masculine, in some ways feminine, but that’s the beauty of being a man. You don’t need to be born as a man, you don’t need to act or think or feel like a man all the time, you don’t need to fulfill the standards set by others, you just need to say you are one. Natani is a man, not because some nerd online says he is, but because he says he is. There’s no authority higher than him on whether or not he’s a man.
