Reis had better be careful. She's clearly capable with a sword, but Jenny's off her snoot on a boot-ful of Basitin Rum so her unpredictability and charisma stats are boosted by 10 points each. This one came out completely different from how I'd originally pictured it before suggesting, but that doesn't mean I like this outcome any less. It's funny how laid-back Jenny's basically a foil of stern, no nonsense Reis. I do rather like the backdrop used here, and the outfits are choice stuff. Reis' flowing cape in particular. Thanks for the pick, Tom.

I’m a martial artist (black belt too), and I’ve practiced it before in sparring (not being literally drunk, but getting my mind in a certain state and rolling with it), and it works pretty well (not perfect, but fun and difficult to predict- since I’m not really thinking about what I’m doing either!), so it’s certainly not a “only works in the movies” thing!

As a couple others have also pointed out: No ankle coverings! *gasp!* So scandalous, so lewd! 🙀 Maybe after years of service aboard a skyship, eventually rising to become captain, Reis stopped caring as much for Basitin modesty? Or maybe she's from one of the more "liberal" Basitin nations? Either way, a fantastic sketch! I love the contrast between Jenny's carefree and casual style, vs Reis stoic and disciplined style. I hope to see it colored, and hope to see more of these two! 😁

I do love how Jenny fights like she's on a ship, expecting to be off balance. Falling into her opponent; if Reis pushes back she's on balance again; if she doesn't then Jenny is leaning into her to push her down.
