Let's also ignore cultural norms for a moment. Maeve is sticking her face into Maddie's ear. They are both young, but not necessarily curious in the way that most gutter-minded people are. (I had to climb out of the gutter to make this post, so I'm not exempt.) How do you think Maddie would react, especially if Maeve is a stranger to her?!
