Raine and Natani face off against Clovis, suggested by Pretorian and ReeseWolf! Natani is skilled, Raine is naturally gifted, but Clovis has the greatest power of all: Money! With the right gold you can buy all the shield enchantments and magic amplifiers you need to even up a fight.

He is the main antagonist in the mini-kind: Dragon Masquerade. He also has some prequel big plot connections, however buy and read it if you want to learn more. I'm not spoiling it :x

Good possibility of Clovis v Natini, not sure about Raine though. No doubt Master Seer is going to attack their group again eventually.

Clovis also has that powerful gem he got from the Seer. Raine is like Trace where her power still needs to be harnessed, so not sure how effective she would be currently. "Skilled," Natini isn't the best mage. Who knows, he could end up getting controlled again by Clovis and turn the tables!

I agree, if it were to be a 2v1 it would most likely be Trace and Natani vs Clovis but still if Raine got control of her magical power this could be a possibility.

Honestly, all this foreshadowing in the Patreon feed is killing me. I don't think I'll be able to contain my anticipation much longer...On another note, Clovis' facial expression is just perfect. It clearly shows how blinded he/she has become by vengeance alone. But I think his/her face will instantly shift from madness to fear should he dare incur Keith's wrath.

Actually, Kats just behind and to Clovis' right, just out of the shot and about to use the disrobing spell. Hopefully she's not distracted by Natani or Raine this time around or it will become a very one-on-[O.P.d]one fight.

I've been wrong about almost everything in the comic so far, but I predict we see Trace, Flora, and Keith + other minor characters vs Master Seer(s), Clovis, and maybe controlled Natini or Nora.

Albeit DESIGNATED Basitin General. He just admitted a few pages ago that he didn't want to be Ambassador any more than his own people (including Lt. Aster). Regardless, what if Keith loses control of himself and nearly beats Clovis to death? Then Group A and/or B would have every right to restrain him. After all, they won't get any information out of Clovis if he were to be killed, now would they?

I'd rather have Keith punching the life out of Clovis before Natani, Zen or Raine could get the satisfaction. He's been put through so much stress lately, so this could be his best chance to finally relieve it all.

I like that and it's definitely possible. However, if we're strictly looking for a mage battle then our only choices are Natani, Trace, Raine, Euchre, Red, Zen (i think) and Kat (she would need to go through a lot of training to be useful in a mage battle though, support maybe?)

I don't see why Raine's there. Natani's the one who has history with Clovis, this is his fight.

They already have 1 hostage, wouldn't need 2. Clovis is also probably really old considering he was an adult during the DM when Natini was young.

1. You mean the captive arsonist? I'm not sure whether or not that wolf was WILLINGLY cooperating with Brahn and Clovis. For all we know, he/she could've been under mind control. What would you expect to learn from him/her then? 2. I don't think Clovis' age would excuse him from getting whaled on by Keith (or, at the very least, either Natani or Zen). He's probably using magic to maintain his youthful looks. Regardless, his day of reckoning is nigh.

Sorry, but I fail to see the resemblance between the two. I personally see Keith more like a Hamlet figure having been pushed to the brink of despair and madness by the loss of his loved ones.

I'm not sure if anyone's magical firepower will be enough to contain Keith's wrath (should Clovis push him too far).

A paralyses spell was enough to stop Keith in chapter 11, so Clovis would only need that to stop him. Besides, it's Natani's fight, and he doesn't need Keith's help.

Or Clovis could pay Flora to flash her butt at Keith with her tail up. That seems to greatly weaken Keith too.

Can Red use magic? Remember he would be in Kat's situation, he dropped out of Templar school to become a soldier.

Yes he can, theres a scene where he does use magic. He dropped out of the templar order because he wasnt that great at it

That was a long time ago. And I'm pretty certain that Keith has grown more resistant to attacks and magics over time. Whether Clovis paralyzes him or not, if Natani wins, Clovis may be needing HER help to stop Keith from finishing him/her off. Besides, if Flora were to accept any bribes from Clovis, that would be an act of betrayal. And Keith will NEVER forgive her for taking Clovis' side.

I think the irony there would be that when he's at rock bottom, his friends would help him out (when they can). But, when he's on the "upward trend" as you say, his friends might hold him back. So, if Keith's friends DO stop him from getting his revenge on Clovis (after threatening Natani's life AGAIN), he may end up willingly turning against Group A for good.

Not really. Chapters 11-14 all took place one after the other, and chapters 15-17 happened not long after that, and only a week passed between then and chapter 18, so it wasn't actually that long ago. Keith didn't do much during that time other than mourn. In fact, in chapter 17, it was Keith who needed Natani's help. And if Keith DOES get paralyzed, he won't be able to do much except flop around like an angry fish.

Trace can't really go all out in his magic... his corruption might spread and he might lose himself

That's currently, remember hes basically only a few months in practice. Im sure with more time he can learn to control his magic

Trace isn't under developed. He has just forgotten how to use magic, for the better too. Because when he unleashes his full power it normally results in him going rogue.
