I want to see the story of how Rose was let go by Mary and taken in, as a close friend and servant, by Saria so bad! I predict that Rose became a servant so she could remain a watchful distance, near Euchre.

I remember Trace bringing in a wolf one day to be a slave. Maybe Saria hired Rose for a maid.

I don't think that the slave was Rose. If you remember, Trace, or the boy who looked like him anyways, was rather young when Rose was nearly executed. I agree about the possibility about hiring you mention, I'm just wanting to see the whole picture from Tom's point of view.
