They're both so beautiful and the scenery is so relaxing :)

bowman502

IT'S PERFECT!. :D

Spillthefire6

What are your chances of survival if you dropped a bucket of ice water on them?

Ezekiel S. Miles

Beautiful and relaxing. I'd love to do something like this in the future

Literally J

Nat would definitely punch, leg sweep or pin you down(waow) for the prank, and Kat would probably sit there befuddled with wet hair in front of her face. So, 95~%, accounting for accidents?

Daemon Blitzkrieg

Nattie so beautiful & chill, and ofc Kattie so cute right next her~ Now I'm more curious about the bird part of this one.

wayne sampson

I've never been to a hotspring, but I bet if feel great

Spillthefire6

So Peaceful...tranquil...warm...Until Natani hears a twig snap and she gets up revealing she had a sword under her the whole time...only to reveal it to be a Squirrel

J. N. Squire

Cleanliness strikes again! 👀🫧

AlaricLives87

I said when this was first posted as a sketch that I love just how much Nat trusts Kat that he can relax without his bindings. She might be his best friend, honestly <3

AlaricLives87

You ought to turn this into a canvas and hang it proudly on your wall!

Rosenkavalier

That's lovely, and the muted colours work particularly well for it! :)

aphelius

When it's freezing cold outside, but we're just two chill ladies vibing in a hot tub

Dan Vaelling

I only see one lady here, Nat's a guy.

ArtAnimationFan

Oh I don’t know, ever since I blocked the ones bugging me, things seem pretty peaceful.

ArtAnimationFan

I’ve always wanted to enjoy a natural hot spring in the snow. This definitely makes me want it more.

Spillthefire6

*Woman have more hiding places than men*

Venarus

I can literaly sense the warm of hotspring through screen. Hope there is no snowfall in nearest time⛄

Dan Vaelling

Nat finally has friends he can be comfortable around.

Tactical Ferrets

Honestly....alot of these arguments can be avoided if people learn how to use the block function. Like...if you don't like what is being said, block, now you can't see it anymore. But sadly in today's word, people want the arguments just so they can feel a sense of....whats the word....gratification? Attention seeking?

Anonymous1988

Natani: "I wonder if I left the oven going...no, I definitely turned it off." Keith, elsewhere: "𝘞𝘏𝘠 𝘐𝘚 𝘌𝘝𝘌𝘙𝘠𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘖𝘕 𝘍𝘐𝘙𝘌?!?!?"

Spillthefire6

Its good to know that no matter how sleepy they get, these two girls could never drown thanks to their in-built flotation devices.

Daemon Blitzkrieg

coming from the Pokemon fandom: elitism? superiority?? Something to do with ego, and/or wanting others to play a game no one else wants to play. :/

Dan Vaelling

Yeah, if only people had the basic decency to respect other people's identities, but alas.

Jeebüüs

The block button doesn't really do anything meaningful and frankly isn't adequate for this sort of problem, so while these back and forth discussions suck, they're kind of necessary. There's so much evidence laid out backing up Natani's status as a trans man who prefers to be referred to by he/him, including direct confirmation from the guy who actually created Natani and the universe he lives in through ref sheets and DA comments, yet for some reason or another certain repeat offenders refuse to use his preferred pronouns. Wanting to get a reaction out of people by being controversial, or genuinely not believing in/disliking the existence of trans people, I dunno their reasoning because I rarely ever stick my head into these arguments, they burn me out. I don't particularly care either. The real problem is the precedent set by misgendering Natani, that it's okay to disregard a critical identity trait that makes one feel comfortable with themselves. Irl trans people who read this comic could be made to feel less welcome when they see other readers choose to blatantly disregard a highly relatable part of a character's identity like that, and I know for a fact the Twokinds subreddit is one of the more welcoming places for fans on the LGBTQ spectrum specifically because of the heavy-handedness towards people who misgender, they don't need to see nor put up with that nonsense there. I'd rather these discussions didn't happen and judging from group chat messages with certain individuals who repeatedly defend Natani in these comment sections, they don't like them either. It's not about gratification nor seeking attention, if anything it's about throwing negative attention on people who continue to misgender because it's deserved. This isn't the sort of issue that should just be pushed aside and ignored using the block button because it has the potential to do quite a bit of harm to certain people if left unchecked and therefore the people who do keep up the behavior should be called out for it, their behavior is not okay.

SCD

Kathrin: Let's stay here until spring. Natani: Okay. Bird: Chirp!

Daemon Blitzkrieg

um...yeah, sure my dude. whatever you wanna say. :/ The most relatable part of Natani (btw) is that Gender/Societal Norms are a b!t when you don't either follow them, nor fit into them. The rest are the results of one VERY unfortunate day... Anything else you choose to take from it is your own doing/headcanon & no one else has to go along with it. As simple as that honestly, no phobia involved (unless, again, you want it to; I don't btw)

AetherSprite224

I'm at a point where I almost never see the abusive pronoun police because I blocked them all after getting sick of their harassment. All these comments where anyone uses 'she' or 'her' to refer to Nat, and I 'load replies' and there's like 1/3 of the number it said there were. XD

Dan Vaelling

except it's been confirmed that the link with Zen had no impact on his identity, it all comes from himself. You're the one with the headcanon.

Tactical Ferrets

You talking to me? I fully believe that Zen is female. But I also don't want to start unnecessary and unless arguments.

Dan Vaelling

"Zen is female" That's a new one. /j Well then you just gotta accept that you're fully wrong, as it's been repeatedly stated that Nat is a guy both in and outside the comic. And there's a specific word for people who intentionally misgender and try to erase trans people/characters, can you guess what that word is? Spoiler alert: It's transphobe.

Netari Icefyng

I'm sad to say after the argument i saw in the uncolored verision that i have nothing more to say about this picture...

AlaricLives87

It doesn't have to if some people would simply respect pronouns and gender identities, especially considering there are trans fans who love the character. A little decency goes a very long way. Gratification has nothing to do with why I've been calling people out over this. As someone who is LGBTQ+, the misgendering offends me. I don't block anyone when they do, they just block me when I tell them to cut it out, and that tells me all I need to know about their character.

Dan Vaelling

Love the fragile little transphobes blocking us because they can't handle being corrected. Cowards knows their bigotry is indefensible.

Ordithus

So pretty and peaceful! BIRB!

Muddypaws

Ohhhh I need to be lulled to sleep by those pillows ❤️‍🔥

Jack

This comic's been around for 21 YEARS! You know Natani's a guy. People can say "they're just a character" all they like but someone who won't even show respect for a character sure as hell doesn't show it for real people.

Jack

21 years. That's how old the comic is. You know Natani's a man.

Jack

He. You know this.

BluePaw

birb nest head

564ugtg54645

TBH Natani calls boobs as “girls” several times in the comic. So the above statement also could be correct, depending on what the comment referred to.

Isaiah James

2 girls just hanging out, that looks like it would still be freezing when they get out of there, especially with long wet fur, idk, maybe the longer fur helps them...

feralcat52

Having followed this story for a number of years, it's my understanding that Natani is physically a female, but had her soul shattered by a powerful mage during their early days as assassins. It was rebuilt by magic, using parts of her brother Zen's soul to fill in the missing bits, giving Natani a male personality, although her femaleness is still there, personified by Youngtani, and she struggles with this a lot. Therefor it's safe to say that she's literally both.

Dan Vaelling

That's incorrect, it's been confirmed that Natani's masculine feelings and male identity all comes from himself. The link to Zen had no impact on it, but Zen thought it did, and that belief got carried over. It wasn't until the link was first broken that Natani realised that it's all him.

Rook Prime

Very versatile washcloths. They work as blindfolds AND bird nests!

You and the others are honestly so right for this. Over on another website, I got into it with someone who insisted that Nat was a woman, trying to read between the lines to find all these moments where Nat was "displaying his real desire to be a woman", despite all moments (that I cited and they promptly ignored) where Nat is very explicit about identifying as a man and wanting to be referred to as a man. When my argument came down to "You should respect trans people at their word about their identities regardless of their bodies", their response was that I should be grateful for how far trans representation has come, that I as a trans person was projecting an inability to pass onto fictional characters, and then blocked me. So like, any good graces I had for discussing the topic have gone out the window. Unless something changes in the future, Natani's a man. I am not debating it.

Tactical Ferrets

And that is your belief and ill respect it. I see no need to get into heated arguments over this. Everyone has their own belief.

oPashoo (Juniper)

You see, this discussion I was having on Natani's gender was based in textual backing. I literally can't control how other people interpret a work or its characters and I think it's totally fine for people to interpret characters in a different way than me, and similarly, I can't physically stop someone if they interpret Natani in a certain way because of a fundamental disrespect for trans people. At the same time, some ideas have more explicit textual basis than that which is inferred, but instead of acknowledging this, the person I was talking with continually condescended me, assumed me ignorant, repeatedly made horrifyingly rude assumptions about who I am, and revealed their own transphobia. I'm willing to respect people who think Natani's gender is more complicated than him just being a man, but a lot of people who think of Natani as a woman first and foremost do it because they just fundamentally do not respect trans people, and that affects me as a trans person.

voidme457

Looks like they may be at some type of inn. Maybe? So there might be hot rooms ready for them.

Joe

Damn I love some relaxing friends sketches

Sworthy622

Remember what Satan said to Eve in The Garden: "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”" Genesis 3:5 Satan's plan was that when mankind ate the fruit, it wouldn't be us who'd ascend to "be like God", but himself! Consider if mankind never fell... the Devil could only ever advocate of God blessings upon us. When Man fell, then the Devil could advocate of God both blessing and curse, upon whom he wished. Essentially, causing Mankind to fall into sin was Satan's scheme for a power grab over this world.
