Flora and Natani threaten to throw Eric overboard for asking to "draw" them, suggested by M3gawatchmast3r!

Wolf guy

Suprised this didn’t happen sooner.

LaughMaker

And nothing of value was lost!

.

Lol, he was right tho

RemyHindle

Yeah, I don't blame them. If anything, I'd probably join in lol

Natali_Wolffe

Flora and Natani both said no portraits, and no means no

feralcat52

I love Flora's and Natani's expressions as they prepare to toss Eric over the rail!

octave

This is just thomas visually showing what its like taking commissions

Mari Mcgee

That's something both girls agreed with. Please color this one.

aphelius

Ah yes, the negotiator

bowman502

The waters not that deep, you'll be fine Eric.

Mr. Stargate

I painted the truth. I painted MY truth.

wjd1206

Eric? TASTEFUL?! I think they have the right idea. Add a life ring and a tow rope and they don't even need to deal with the guilt... if they felt any in the first place, that is.

wayne sampson

Do it, over the side! He has committed treason!

Dan Vaelling

Natani's not a girl though, he's a guy.

Stephen Gilberg

Whether or not we agree on that, it is abundantly clear that Natani wants to be seen naked by nobody who hasn't before.

Noxitious

Their faces in the second panel had me rolling bro, it's so good

Jem

Eric just needs to stick with Nora and Adelaide.

SimTheLegend

Amazing and adorable art and idea

Anonymous1988

Natani: "Hang on a moment; is this technically a mutiny? And, if so, is it justified? We need to consider our opti--" 𝘚𝘗𝘓𝘈𝘚𝘏! Flora: "Sorry, were you saying something?"

James_TGS

I need to see this In color now lmao

AlaricLives87

Nat is transmasc and goes by he/him and I’m sure he wouldn’t want Mr. Gilberg seeing him without apparel.

JayJay2x4

Seriously though he isnt a bad artist buuuut...he tends to get a bit...to into it XD

SuperTaster

I imagine Eric is in a mood of "I'm trying to buy a new ship, and honestly I ship you two so it's an easy comparison"

Spillthefire6

It's tough being an artist when the subjects are so uncooperative

Charles Dyer

Eric, you're a perv. However... perhaps you should have tried for a very tasteful (or else) Keidran-human and an even more tasteful (unless you have a death wish) Keidran-Bastin painting. That, you might get, if you don't get incinerated by Templar magic or chopped into little pieces by Bastin swords first.

Onyx Dragon 388

Maybe he should try getting Different And more Willing models. Instead. (Still funny though

Onyx Dragon 388

Ships are very expensive. But I ship natan and Kate more if I’m honest

Onyx Dragon 388

Or offer more money. Not sure about flora but natan would probably do it for 10,000. 25,000 if they have to slap him to menny times

Mari Mcgee

Technically Natnai was born a female, but she wants to be one of the guys. Those types of girls are called Tomboys.

SCD

Flora & Natani: No you weren't! (They threw him into the ocean) Eric: I REGRET NOTHING!!!

MR, ABYSS

Oh my gosh, Finally, finally someone did it, they actually did it.

AlaricLives87

We know what a tomboy is, thank you very little, Mari Mcgee, and Natani is trans.

Mari Mcgee

The real trans is Princess Clovis.

AlaricLives87

Eric just couldn't help thinking with the other head despite what Natani made clear. *shrugs* He did warn him!

Dan Vaelling

That's not correct, trans men aren't tomboys, they're completely different things. And Natani is the former, not the latter.

AlaricLives87

That would be an insult to trans characters, including Nat. There is no C in LGBTQ and the kind of C word I'd call Clovis...would be a very bad word, indeed

FurLight

Ironic I began reading the entire series and am at the scene where he paints flora. And this appears and fits quite well.

TerrificTwenty

Aww, I wanted to see a Natani portrait!

K.O. PRODUCTIONS

I swear, we under appreciate the subtleties that Tom puts into his over the top expressions expressions!

AFrickinDwarf

I mean he does/did have a coterie of (ethically and morally dubious) models

AFrickinDwarf

Clovis, while also having a feminine body, is a guy as well. Defo trans (in that he doesn’t identify with the gender associated with his sex) and a man still

Heretic

My only issue with this is there needs to be wind to show off Natani’s magnificent hair

Jack

Honestly, zero respect for anyone as stupid and hateful as you. You know trans people exist. You don't get an opinion on whether or not we're valid. We are. No debate. I've had enough of people like you. It's time for society to move on from brainless hatred.

Stephen Gilberg

Nobody here is saying trans don't exist, but Natani differs in some ways from those in RL.

Shadowofademon

A definite moment of "Should have asked Kat".

Michael Marcoccio

And as we commit the body of Eric to the deep, we ask that his soul stay down there with it, until the Day of Judgement, when they'll come back with cement to finish the job...

Drazgon

How ungrateful. He did so much for them, essentially risking his neck.

AlaricLives87

You don't say? Well, trans experiences aren't all identical, which makes every person and(or) character unique and seen.

RivCA

And Flora's!

RivCA

The question I have is, How did Eric know that Natani is hiding a rockin' femme body? Before you go brandishing the pitchforks, I am well aware, but at the same time, HOW THE HECK DID HE KNOW?!

Katfeathers

Well (s)he has had 2 external factors thrown on the complexity pile. 1) having to play being male to get / keep the job (and not get killed for it) and 2) the mind link to Zen. Granted Youngtani seemed a bit in-between on the rack size.

K_D Lawrence

I guess the biggest perv has the appreciation for lol flat cat, and busty wolf girl.

John Doe

Love those "so done with this" expressions.

eddi_TBH

Draw us like one of your French Keidran. F&K "Over your dead body!"

Netari Icefyng

The girls throwing out the trash :P poor Eric..

Netari Icefyng

magically flat wolf and small bust cat

Joshu Kel'Machan

Well, we do not know, what the artist had in mind talking about the tastefull two-keidran portraits but this is on an intact Na‘Rella so looking at canon he should see Natani as a guy with the body of a guy.

Joshu Kel'Machan

You mean he was ready to risk his neck for the chance of lifting Floras tail? Or as Flora put it: a polite pervert 😁 But now let character development be given a chance …

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes, he did, but technically after the scene here, as the Na‘Rella is still intact and the warning came after Nat has saved Kat from the burning ship.

Joshu Kel'Machan

You would have to change the arangement of the rope for that. On the other hand: this would leave a small chance to survive the procedure that is not given when thrown in the sea the way shown at the sketch … /Klugscheissmodus 😁

Dan Vaelling

Except it's confirmed that those factors had no influence on his gender identity. And get out of here with that fence-sitting "(s)he" bs, Nat's a guy, always has been, always will be, using female pronouns is never correct.

Dan Vaelling

Natani's not a girl. And keep in mind that this is from before Eric found out about Natani, before you go "But Eric..."

Joshu Kel'Machan

Am I the only one who finds it a shame when discussions about the treatment of trans people break out here at every opportunity? Even if they are only sparked by misunderstandings due to the medium, for me it shows that our societies still have a lot of catching up to do. But as long as Nat sees himself as a guy he should be threated as such, even if he is an anime character only. Sorry, no offence meant, but I got the feeling I had to take my stand here.

Kai Sörensen

Yeah but it has a better " you died" ring to it over " Thrown overboard"

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes, you're right, of course. But would he deserve that?

AlaricLives87

I couldn't agree more, Joshu! I wish we didn't have to do this almost every other week. Still, so long as some will insist on using the wrong pronouns and feminizing the character (and no misunderstanding, they know what they're doing, and it's gross), something needs to be said, even if it has to be repeated again and again. If someone has an issue with a trans character, that suggests they have a problem with trans fans, and who is to say they don't have a problem with other gay characters then, and by extension, gay fans like myself? I have no issues with talking things out and helping some who might not understand educate themselves better if that were so desired. Heck, I try and gaysplain that there is nothing wrong with finding an LGBTQ character attractive, which changes nothing about one's orientation, and fanservice need not be diminished, either. It can be improved with more positivity! But it's repeatedly made clear to me that some people don't want to listen and are intent on being malicious.

Michael Weskamp

And they carried him with their hands down the road. Equipped him with an anchor and short chain and threw him in the river

Brendon Freshner

He might not have. Tastefully done softcore porn can be straight...

Joshu Kel'Machan

I am absolutely with you on that, Alaric. To say it with my love for language: we are all embers of the same flame. No one is bad or wrong because of their origin, skin color or sexual orientation. We should treat everyone with respect so that they don't feel uncomfortable in our presence. And for me, this also applies to imaginary characters, onto whom you can project so much and on whom you can cool your heels. And often enough you find this later on in the streets. But back now to lighter topics. The minute men will ride again, if this will be necessary.

Doo r

suprised they didnt do this sooner

K_D Lawrence

I don't care this about this argument, it has been going on for about 20 years now. I don't do the gender stuff imo.

Alexis Artistry

Doesn't Natani still identify as male? His info hasn't been changed on the website.

Asura

Now, if he’d asked Natani and Kathrin…

eddi_TBH

Eric always take the next step.

RivCA

OK, that makes things so much worse for the asshat!

K_D Lawrence

To be fair those bios haven't been updated in 15 years.

Dan Vaelling

There's no argument, only confirmed fact. Natani's said numerous times that's he's a guy, Tom says he's a trans guy, and his ref sheet says he's a guy. There's no legitimate, non transphobic arguement for anything else.

Eridrake

Through the spiritual connection with her brother, Natani felt male, but this connection, which was once established by Clovis, was severed by Clovis in the last battle. Afterwards, Natani found a younger part of herself inside herself, with which she then united, which is why she no longer needed the connection with her brother. If you take this into account, it is possible that Natani could feel more feminine again.

Dan Vaelling

Except that's incorrect, it's been confirmed that Nat's masculine feelings and male identity all came from himself, and that the black magic and soul meld had no impact on that. Zen just thought so, and that belief was what got carried over. As Tom himself said, Natani has the mind of a guy and that's how he sees himself. He doesn't know the first thing about women or what they're like and thus doesn't relate to them at all. That's a direct quote, by the way. Referring to Nat as female is not only disrespectful towards the character, as he's explicitly stated several times that he wants to be seen as the guy he is, and not a woman, but also to all the queer fans who relate to him. Natani is a trans man, and that's non-debatable.

Drazgon

He let Kat persuade him to not turn them for a bag of cash in to guards looking for them. On Islands he literally battled basitin general for them. He risked his neck, reputation, business when freed slaves on Flora's whim.

K_D Lawrence

I still don't care, you TQ's make us gays and lesbians look like a bunch of loonies.

Joshu Kel'Machan

Id‘d like to ask for some more respect in discussion. As I see Nat and Keith as complex characters (and like them for that), things might not be that easy. It is said in canon that with the reunification with the mind shard of Youngtani Nat is able to accept his ‚girly‘ feelings - as he puts it - more as before. So the things said here are not completly wrong in my eyes. But Natani sees himself still as a boy and being able to work with the girly part of his self only makes him even stronger. Just my two cents.

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes, you made the point. Perhaps I‘m to harsh against Eric.

Dan Vaelling

And there's the blatant transphobic hatespeech, it always comes out in the end. You clearly don't need any help to look like a loony, you got that covered pretty well yourself.

AlaricLives87

This gay is amongst the many Lesbians, Gays, and Bisexuals who see and welcome the Trans and Queers into the family we call LGBTQ+ If it’s looney to look out for each other and stick up for one another, then bring on the straight jackets (which I hear are quite comfortable). Deal with the gender stuff.

Argonwolf

Nuclear launch detected...

Argonwolf

This sounds like Monty Python

K_D Lawrence

Then the buzz words came out, you must be a trans man, always have little dood energy. And Mr Alaric, I am gay and I was bullied into accepting into the front hole. The LGBT is making us look like deviants when all I want is not to be judged being with my boy friend. I will point to the recent election to show how the majority is starting to feel about the activits behavior. I am now done shitting up Tom's comment section with spurging.

Eridrake

To be honest, it doesn't really matter to me whether it's a man with a man or a woman with a woman. Everyone should love whoever they like. If you look at history, same-sex relationships have existed for thousands of years.

AlaricLives87

As someone who was bullied into lifelong trauma and internalized homophobia for being gay, I treat better onto others rather than how I was treated, particularly those who belong to our community, friends and family, and who have every right to be acknowledged and treated with respect and dignity. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

Michael Marcoccio

I was actually thinking more of Richard Pryor’s character of the Preacher, especially in the movie Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling. When he gives his own eulogy.

Dan Vaelling

If you think the far right won't come after you next, you're delusional. And both Alaric and I are cis, but thanks for showing your true colors. Good, for you and your hated is not welcome in this community.

K_D Lawrence

Mr Alaric like I said I don't relate at all to the community. It is NOT my community, I am just gay not LGBT+, that is it.

AlaricLives87

It's more like you're not gay, either. You like men, but it doesn't have a label, and the real problem is LGBTQ+ people, amirite? If we all had just never gotten gay marriage, stayed in the closet, and kept to ourselves rather than finding family, strength, and solidarity in each other, the heteros could have kept pretending we didn't exist, and everyone would have gotten along better! Right? Shame on you.

Dan Vaelling

Ah yes, the "fuck you, I got mine" gay. The only reason you're even legally allowed to be with your boyfriend, without being arrested or killed, is because of the LGBT community fighting together for those rights. You ought to break up with your boyfriend, seeing as your hate towards trans people is more important to you than your love towards him. And speaking of community, the Twokinds community is inherently pro LGBTQ, so you really aren't welcome here.

GrayzYoshi Grayz

probably her feminine body considering Eric has seen alot of keidran he likely can tell by the shape of the body alone despite the magical space hiding bandages.

RivCA

...except Nat's a guy, so...
