Let's reflect on how other not-purely-human characters would react. I think Natani would react with violence, unless the patter was Keith. Keith would make known that he was weirded out. Rose would tolerate it. Mike and Evals might grin and bear it. Nora might like it. Raine would yell. Zen would issue a dour threat. Sythe might too. Mrs. Nibbly would be OK with it as long as it was gentle. I expect some disagreements here.

Only a couple of adjustments: Kieth would warn no to get near the ears... then violence. Young Rose may tolerated it, but I doubt current Rose would, although the current Rose would probably do something less violent but more sinister. Raine definitely would yell, but I have a feeling she might snap as well. Something about not having fully accepted and integrated "the wolf" yet....

Each one's different reaction is perfect for their different personalities. I do wonder what Natani's reaction would be? Although not many people are gonna try to head-pat a @2-meter-tall wolf.
