Curved... swords...!

A rare serious moment for the prince as he practices sword combat, suggested by Leif! His prodigious chest floof has been trimmed as to not overheat, though in my head I imagine it growing right back overnight.

What I'm curious about now, is if Reed has any skill with a sword or not. If she does, is hers a longsword? It would be interesting to see if these two spar against each other, just as a test of skill. Remember kids, sparring is when you want your opponent to live after the fight. Dueling is if you want to see them remembered, instead.

That sounds like a great idea for a new sketch—maybe after some intense training sessions together. I love the thought of seeing the two of them as master swordsmen. The Prince strikes for the throat, slicing the ribbon of the Lynx chain, while Alice retreats just enough to launch a perfectly timed counterattack. In the heat of battle, they continue fighting in their natural forms, wild and unrestrained. And of course, the ending is obvious: “Marry me!”

This looks great! just one tip, curved swords that excel in slashing will typically need some sort of large pommel on the end to keep the hand from sliding down and off the blade, look up say.. a Mameluke sword for instance.

The pommel also serves to counterbalance the weight of the blade, and also serves to hold the handle together.

Only holds the handle together or counter balances in some designs. The very design I told him to look at does neither of those really.
