RemyHindle

Looks like that photographer is going to have a very good time lol :)

Floreloyx

Awww is always nice when the subject is not shy of you

IamMike

"Delete it!"

Delta Hawk

"I'll take some photos of you if you'd like. A LOT of photos."

James C King

She's fantastic. Great shoutout to one of my favourite wildlife photos ever

Canti

Wildlife photographers are known for their patience, but I don’t think any of their material would just casually tap them on the shoulder like that, lol

IcyNightMedic

And here you see, the wild photographer meeting an ever so curious yet very friendly cheetah.

Sunshades25

She seems like a keeper, ask her to lunch and perhaps she wants to be in your nature documentary 😏.

Raymond Dannelly

Apparently cheetah do be like that sometimes.

Canis Lupis Rex

Curious, she presents herself as non-threatening and walks up...without a worry despite not realising shes scaring our cameraman -[David Attenborough voice]

Onyx Dragon 388

“I was talking a picture of those lions, but since I’ve got you here, would you mind posing for me?”

wjd1206

Okay, first of all great suggestion by TJ! Second, I admit to some confusion. Is this Mekan or or somewhere else? If it were modern AU, I can't rationalize the man's reaction. Otherwise, I'd love to hear the backstory of where she came from! Regardless; yet another great sketch!

Anonymous1988

Cheetah: "It's good, but...it's not my best side." Photographer: "Okay, so you can speak. In English. And you know enough about photography to offer constructive criticism. So much for 'unexplored territory'."

Raventail

🎶 You and me baby, we're nothing but mammals 🎶 🎶 Let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel 🎶

Spillthefire6

She's going to need a name for the inevitable future sketch request

Denizen Blue

Love those pics where the animals come right up to the photographer and start checking them out.

SangheiliSpecOp

I'm a wildlife photographer and I just got home after shooting several birds and a gator (in florida) and then I saw this post! Ha

Literally J

What was your weapon of choice for these photos?

wjd1206

😉😉😉If he can get past his apparent shock!😆😆😊

Just a Cat

She’s just a lil curious, as cats are.

RemyHindle

Oh I think he will soon lol

henchwookie

I remember that shot from the old Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom". The show was very titillating.

Atelier Magra

She's just making sure he caught her good side.

"squish that cat 🐈" is an acceptable statement for this Cheetah

StarrySky

Watch out, she's gonna pounce! ❤

wjd1206

Didn't know that! I'm presuming you're referring to IRL cheetahs...

Markius Fox

Well...the streets there certainly have no name.

SangheiliSpecOp

I am using a sony a6700 apsc camera, it has very good autofocus and snaps to the eye of animals or any subject you tell it to look out for. And then my main lens is the sony 200 to 600mm G lens. With the apsc sensor, it is 900mm equivalent so it has a pretty good reach, although its a tad heavy to hand hold :)

Joshu Kel'Machan

As an experienced huntress, she knows precisely how to approach and capture her prey. The only difference this time? The prey isn’t meant to be eaten. Her plan, no doubt, is to dine with the prey after a successful hunt—perhaps as a prelude to an intriguing evening ahead.

Crimson

If only these things were real

Muddypaws

Wholeheartedly agree 👍🏽

KiTA

What, Cameras? They're real, you can buy them. They're like smartphones but without the phone or touchscreen.

Crimson

No not the camera nor the human

feralcat52

We need this one coloured!

Broaster07

Makes me think of the old Benny Hill joke. How do you find Cheetah girls in the tall grass? Very nice, thank you!

J. N. Squire

She's already squishing parts of herself against him…😳

Idran

depends on your definition of "eaten"

Joshu Kel'Machan

That black stripe down the back must mean it’s a King Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus rex). Not a separate species, but a rare genetic mutation. I had no idea there was an anthropomorphic population as well… 😁

J. N. Squire

😸: "Please take my best angles!" Photographer: 😳📸

Joshu Kel'Machan

Well then, play with the words and enjoy the ride… ☺️

MR, ABYSS

Such a cute and curious cat. :)

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes, absolutely. Such a majestic species! It would be a tragedy to lose them. Anyone who has ever watched a cheetah hunt—and has even a little empathy for our fellow creatures—can never forget the experience. Please forgive me; I didn’t mean to offend you with my half-joking response above. p.s. The mutation is real: you may look up the scientific name. And as Tom has an eye for details I would presume he also knows the fact.

RivCA

Some DSLRs even have a touchscreen, but they usually have a knob you can fiddle with instead of groping blindly at the screen to make selections.

Oswald

She's just enacting her cat curiosity, show her the photos

RivCA

Now I'm curious. Do you upload your photos anywhere? I haven't gotten behind the lens in too long, so inspiration is what I seek here in Tennessee.

bowman502

Whatcha looking at?, can I see?... :3

ProudLoneWolf

Ah yes…many times the photographer carefully positions themselves at a distance, only for the curious animal to walk right up to them.

luckmans2

Very photogenic cheetah

Colin Algire

This looks great, Tom. Nice work. 👍

Jason Waldron

Unless I'm mistaken, based on real world events.

Singe

He has a great view. I'm sure she's friendly. :)

Colonel Runesun

My kind of close encounter right there❣️

Joshu Kel'Machan

Sure she will! Alas cheetahs are the only big cats that are not able to retreat their claws. So whoever accepts her invitation should be prepared for some unmistakable scratches. No risk, no fun 😁

Tyler Dollarhide

Well if all animals are anthros, it kinda makes wildlife photography much more creepy.

ArtAnimationFan

Fun fact, it’s a common rule amongst wildlife photographers that they can’t interact with the wildlife. The poor, poor bastard.

Tazer Silverscar

Nothing stopping the wildlife interacting with them though! 🤣

V1nc3nt

Shes a hottie!

Stephen Gilberg

Fortunately, cheetahs aren't big on stalking.

SCD

Cheetah Girl: I'm gonna eat you! The Photographer: (gulp)

Joshu Kel'Machan

Hmm, the scene is set: this prey isn’t going anywhere. No need for another stealthy approach—she’s got this one locked down. Her fellow huntresses will be green with envy—what a stunning catch!

Darkest Sword

So WILD and SEXY and HOT and NAKED!!!

TheLoreMaker

What makes this so good is that stuff like this happens in the real world. I.e. The animal gets curious and sniffs up to the wildlife photographer.

ThirdKind

She looks familiar 🤔

cee

'If you promise to buy me a nice steak I can get some cousins to pose for you...'

Delta Hawk

No no no... They will be tasteful... not lewd... unless she WANTS that. I just want to make her PURRŔRRRR

Glenn Sellers

Cheetah Girl (laughing uproariously): Don't worry. You're too big for me.

Miva

well... yup

Skeleton Man

I wonder what Eric would react to getting a digital camera

Nighthawke

Wildlife, sure. Wild life that walks and talks, there's room for argument. Especially when they ask for a cut of the royalties.

Trollman906

“Taking…photos..of..nature..”

FurLight

I love this!

Golden_Pawz

This is base off Real life.

Charles Dyer

There's 'wildlife'. And then there's 'wild life'. I think that she's interested in the second one.

Orlet Soir

"Got any good ones of me?" -- The Cheetah Girl

aleš petrovič

He'd be happy cuz he'd be able to take EVEN MORE pictures of women keidrans. Edit: exotic female keidrans. :)

Crimson Dragon

Fun Fact: Cheetahs are like this IRL. Wild cheetahs have been known to nap on top of wildlife photographers.

Wolf Lord lewis

There's also that picture (I honestly forgot who took it) of a cheetah with a GPS collar on looking at a camera over a guy's shoulder!

cee

He'd wear out the SD card (before he backed it up, of course)

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes, it is. Some guy has linked it down below …

Joshu Kel'Machan

I bet he’d try stuffing tiny scraps of canvas into the SD card slot, muttering something about “wrong format” under his breath…

Joshu Kel'Machan

@Charles: The last one was linked down below already, but the first one is marvelous! 😊 Tom, admit it, this was your secret inspiration. Even the hat and beard match. The Cheetah... okay, this clearly goes to Tom 😊

Wolf Lord lewis

That first one! But the old brain somehow combined the two!

ThePianistDragon

This reminds me of stories about photographers who have wildlife like meerkats and seals get really close to them. They're forbidden from touching/petting them (I guess cause they don't want them to be "too accustomed" to people). But then the animals just act really friendly and it's so hard to resist petting them XD

The Great Heathen King

You seriously need to draw the Cheetah girl with her emotional support dog next time! That's one of the most iconic animal duos ever at this point ToT

Bill Redfern

Why do I get a kind of benign "Roadrunner & Coyote" vibe from this? The nature photographer determined to snap a shot of this mysterious and mischievously elusive "wild child" speedster who teases him to exasperation, appearing seemingly outa' nowhere and stays almost long enough for him to capture an image before bolting over the horizon at impossible speeds? Then, when totally unprepared, she cuddles, going so far as to plant playful kisses leaving him totally flabbergasted (and a bit weak kneed) before rocketing into the distance again, avoiding the camera once more.

ShadowedHand

“If ya want, I can pose for you. 😽”

Tiglish

So he try to take picture of Cheetah and she just found him instead

PkmnTrainerLucas

I would gladly become some sort of Tarzan if wild life was like that in real life!

ijuinkun

Either that, or Bugs Bunny coming up behind the character-of-the-episode and saying "Eh, what's up, Doc?"

Violet Flare

You know, (being respectful) I feel like this was a good opportunity to draw her with hair more like someone from Africa than someone from Northern Europe. Not trying to accuse, just thinking that I don't see any characters who aren't coded white except maybe the still nameless Lynx Prince.

RivCA

I doubt Eric is that inept. He is a successful merchant, after all.
