Curved... swords...!

A rare serious moment for the prince as he practices sword combat, suggested by Leif! His prodigious chest floof has been trimmed as to not overheat, though in my head I imagine it growing right back overnight.

Amione

Lynx Reed has noticed the princes lack of pants.

NimiBestGirl

I don’t care what others say but we need more of these two!

Austin Atkins

YES! I loved the sketch so seeing it in color is fantastic

Inu-Chan

I see that dagger ear.

RemyHindle

Reed is liking what she's seeing, right now lol They both look amazing! :)

silver dragonia

well she certainly enjoys what she sees and she is still cute as she will ever be as a keidran

Rook Prime

She's actively fighting the urge to propose to HIM instead.

Just a Cat

Reed’s certainly got her eyes on the prince. 👀

Brocade

I like the suggestive crop here! Reed and I like what we see here, hehe

Anonymous1988

Reed: "...I just realized, there's a serious problem with your bed." Prince: "What's that?" Reed: "We're not in it."

Golden_Pawz

Literally just saw this on Twitter.

AlaricLives87

A surprise color! Glad to see our Tywnx Prince playing with his....SWORD, and so is Reed, apparently X)

Vicroc4

He's such a flirt normally, it's good to see him being serious. And I think Reed agrees. XD

Charles Dyer

The prince has a cavalry sabre, eh? And in front of lance and cavalry practice targets, too.

SavageJenner

I thought the word above her head said pur🤣

LifeWulf

I can see why she fell for him

NicktheDrago2225

It is I the real Alaric, first name Nickolai.

J. N. Squire

Prince: "So, did you like me waving around my sword? 😏" Reed: "O-obviously! The sharp one, too! 😳" P: "What?" R: "What?"

SCD

Lt. Reed: WAIT!!! I'M NOT A MELON!!! (accidentally attacks her with the sword) Lynx Prince: Oops...

Atelier Magra

The Prince's large, curved, dangerous... sword, now in full color and still making her ears go *boop*

Doomslayer69

Swinging around that big curvy sword of his sure seems like fun to watch

RivCA

That's just horrible. Funny, but still horrible.

RivCA

Nice, and it hearkens back to the katana tail.

Ivory Sai'ee

Please say yes to him and be a Lynx princess!

Michael Marcoccio

From the location of Reed’s lower garment, I doubt the prince is even wearing that much…. Now we need to see her sword skills, similarly attired, of course.

Cedric L.

Furious concentration... She is

Oswald

Absolutly amazing, I know she likes it

SophieTRat-Skunk

… I just noticed that Lynx Reed is holding her tail over to one side…almost like she’s getting ready to ‘present’…!

eddi_TBH

Or trying to prevent her lynx instincts from doing so.

Joshu Kel'Machan

The air is practically steaming around the prince — looks like he’s already made short work of a whole pile of melons. Someone must be keeping him supplied. Probably the only reason Alice hasn’t leapt into his arms by now…

Muddypaws

Alice brain: “Lynx beef-cake spotted. Commence hormone dump! “

Gabriel Zet

Prince - Want to join? Reed - Ummmm. I don't want to embarrass you, your highness. Prince - Now you got me interested. Show me your moves. Reed join the trening and show the skills not worse that royal. Prince - I fall in love even more <3

Sernard

She should train with him, she'll get rusty otherwise !

SophieTRat-Skunk

...her facial expression and her ears tell me she's already lost that fight...!

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes — lynx ears and dragon wings. It must have been quite a sight for Nora, seeing just how much power Trace could handle.

Joshu Kel'Machan

Yes, I’d love to see a sketch of Alice and the prince engaged in some sort of swordplay. As a lieutenant in the militia, we can certainly expect her to have some skill with a blade…

Hunter_emerald07

Hmm i can fell what Reed image and what she fell XD >:D FR

Thomas Fischbach

It would be funny if Reed had to try and hide how good she was with a sword to not seem suspicious, but end up having to use her skills anyway. Could be like a Spy v Family situation. She's really quite good, which would stand out as unusual in Keidran culture.

Joshu Kel'Machan

Thank you for the lore, Tom! Since the tigers have a matriarch, I was wondering if all the feline Keidran might have a more gender-equal—or even matriarchal—society. It’s also great to hear that Alice is a seasoned fighter despite her young age. Edit: Based on the prince’s reaction in Caught Unlynxed, I hope the royal family shares his friendly attitude toward humans. A serious conflict between the spy and the royal family would really undermine this wonderful AU… even if the risk of being discovered does make the AU more thrilling.

KaiserDunk

After this, will Lt Reed ever want to go back home to being human again?

ijuinkun

Royalty would traditionally be trained in mounted combat.

AstroChaos

"Second Sword" jokes not withstanding... this is the first time (that we've seen) where she's seen him not just lounging around or being an adorable flirt. I'm sure that seeing him very seriously training and showing that there's a lot more to him than eye candy is also having quite the impact on her here. 😌

dripoñip

I needed to come back to this, I love all of Tom's art but this has to be one of my favorites
