This is now official Keidran cultural lore. And while Kat is certainly a beautiful specimen,one has to wonder that since her body was bred to be an amalgamation of traits considered attractive to humans, if to more natural Keidran her body would look off...strangely devoid of standard traits like chest floof and having an "ethnically varied" face. A weird "uncanny valley" half breed mutant to a traditionalist Keidran as odd as that may seem

For people asking if Eric was ever like that with Kat, the only thing I found was page 310 when he mentioned that they fooled around a little out of curiosity when they were younger, but that’s about it.

She probably looks very strange to other Keidran. With others like Flora, Natani, or Mike, you can tell that they’re a tiger, wolf, or fox immediately. Kat doesn’t 100% match any animal.

Well, I'm no scholar, but there are indeed several myths ranking around the theme. I'd say I like the Chinese one most, saying that tigers were guarding animals named by the gods and the Celestial Jade Emperor granted them the stripes to distinguish them as king of the animals. Thus they are symbols of strenght and order, especially the wang symbol standing for king, that can be seen on many tigers forehead. Looking at Your screen name, You might like the Vietnamese myth more, saying tigers had been plain white until their clan fathers fought with the dragons of the forests, leaving them scorched for ever and inheriting the scorches to their children. As there are more such tales from nearly every country, where my people dwell, Yours might be as true as mine. Especially as tigers and humans are usually far from being friends nowadays. But as I'm a friendly tiger, I also like the idea of licking angles, especially as I'm missing the wang mark. 😎
