Love all the Silksong art that's popped up, though it surprises me that I've yet to see any of Hornet playing the needolin for the bell beast, and later its babies, while they croon tunelessly along. It's legit the most wholesome and adorable moment.

The pose suits her well. I wonder if Flora, when it really matters, is as skilled a fighter as Hornet. After all, there must be a reason why Ephemural chose her as their champion against Trace in the first place. And beautiful.

I think Neutral chose her because she was a key to unite keidran race together in future war against humans. By marriage with Sythe. I don't get 'champion against' thing. Trace and Flora were just essential for Neutral's plan. And Flora showed her lack of fight prowess when tried to raise a mutiny against basitins

Yes, you may be right about that. However, the whole scene surrounding the Basitin mutiny seems more like a lighthearted Rambo parody to me—especially at the end, with the appearance of the Basitin soldier. At the end of panel 4, though, Ephemural says, “…and hope they don’t kill each other—just yet…” With his amnesia, Trace would certainly have been easy prey for Flora—but later on? I think that line could be interpreted as a hint at her potential combat abilities, especially when you consider Flora’s feral form from the early comic, which we haven’t seen in quite some time. Perhaps it’s also an old concept that Tom decided not to pursue any further. On the other hand I’ve never quite understood the whole marriage thing. Sythe is one of the nephews of the Wolf King, while Flora is an orphan of presumably low birth and a former slave. If she were Dahlia’s daughter, it might make more sense—but as it stands? At the very least, it leaves us with another loose end.
