Look, the way you put it is “Natani has the body of a woman with the mind of a man.” Another way to put that is “Natani’s birth sex is female, but his gender identity is male.” Which is also what it directly says on his reference sheet. This is the literal textbook definition of being a transgender man. By referring to him with she/her pronouns, you are invalidating his identity. You are allowed to have your own thoughts, but those thoughts can be transphobic and hurtful. You’re not alone in insisting on misgendering Natani despite him actively insisting within the comic at every possible moment that he does not like being misgendered. It’s why I barely interact with this community, because this keeps happening and no one is willing to do anything about it because “we can’t be alienating the people who themselves are alienating others from the community.” I loathe every day that I remember how rampant transphobia is in the TwoKinds community.

Hey Natali, if you use reddit or are willing to try it, you should check out the r/Twokinds sub if you haven't already. The members are all allies, if not LGBTQ themselves, and the mods ban any intentional transphobia that might appear relatively quickly, resulting in it becoming increasingly rare.
