Lynx Reed sparring with the Princes, suggested by J. N. Squire!I kind of imagine Reed having a sort of Yor Forger type situation going on in the lynx kingdom, where she's really bad at hiding the fact that she's stronger than she looks and is actually a trained warrior.

This does bring up an odd question: do Keidran sweat? Lynxes, indeed most fur bearing mammals will pant and/or lose heat from bareskinned areas like ears and paws. But Reed is clearly dripping sweat here. Is it because she's magically transformed?

Ironically, princes of a feudal kingdom would be pretty good at fighting since it's a critical skill for the martial "caste" of any society, whether Western or Eastern. That just means Reed is *really really* good tho <3

It probably didn't help that the first time we met, I begged her to marry me. Maybe a little too forward of me. But then she suggested we settle it with a sparring match. Turns out she was a much better hand-to-hand fighter than I thought. I had reach, she had flexibility. The fight was brutal. After nine rounds, the judges called it a draw. Lot of unhappy bettors in the castle. We, ah, held a tiebreaker in my chambers later. I had reach, she had flexibility. More than one way to work off steam, I guess."

Plausible. Why wouldn’t you train your princesses in combat? I know wolves tend to be very patriarchal, and look down on women. Tigers are matriarchal, but I’m not sure if that means females would be expected to fight. Not sure about Lynx’s in general.
