I wonder, Is the modern AU distinct from the 'Real Cast behind the scenes Production of Twokinds' AU? Sometimes they seem to overlap.

Really liking the mood on this piece, for someone who doesn't have to draw cityscapes much Tom, you can certainly pull them off. Lot of extra details from the stream version like the added lights and extra buildings in the background which add to the sense of scale. Very nicely done.

They're different AUs, but because they're both set in a modern world, quite a few prompts could work in either. Modern AU: The actual TwoKinds characters living in a 21st-century setting. Has its own continuity (e.g. Laura, Kat and Willow living together). Backstage AU: TwoKinds is an in-universe TV show being filmed in the 21st century setting. The characters are actors portraying the TK characters (so Trace and Laura's actors are married, for example). This specific prompt wouldn't really fit the Backstage AU because of the established continuity there. I'm not sure how much Tom factors in the separate continuities when he draws something — he might just draw the prompt as written if it gets selected.

That tower is the Templar Teleport Nexus. It handles all teleports through the city and most of the mail. So, those on the top floors just teleport up and down.
