Awww this is so adorable and poor Adelaide, I'm glad she got better after this! :)

AlaricLives87

I love these smaller moments between mother and daughter

Maddie is such a good girl 🥹

Alternate Universe Maddie, three days later: "Oh, no. The tower was reduced to rubble, which was then crushed to sand and swept into the ocean. Who could have done such a thing."

Aaron Peterson

"The healers feared I would succumb to my illness without the healing properties of the tower. They were quick to assure everyone I had been killed in the blast, to ensure my death would be considered 'honorable.' Tragically. [thanks to Madelyn], I survived."

J. N. Squire

Looks like the tower became a cool giant light saber

It really must have been such a hard time for so long for everyone on the island. By the time the main cast gets to the island, everyone's already so worn down and on edge. I wonder how much worse it would have been if the templars plans were allowed to come to fruition

Drazgon

Love sketches that feel like cut scenes from the comic.

Isenlyn

Is this the cutest Maddie ever ? Yes, yes it is.

Vicroc4

Aww. It's always hard to see your parents get sick, even as an adult.

This is a very sweet drawing, though I imagine once the tower went down, Adelaide probably had the same reaction as The Immortal screaming for Omni Man, only it was for the Templars.

I can't describe the feeling of inadequacy when you find yourself caring for your own parent. 😪

SCD

She got sick from eating her one week old sandwich.

InTheLionsDen

Great work on showing the emotions and the situation. A very heartfelt moment. Thank you, Tom

Man I gotta reread the whole comic again don’t I? I barely remember the Templar tower stuff except that the Masks were involved.

Aaron Peterson

The Templars had built a tower in the Basitin Lands ostensibly to serve as a olive branch between the two races, when in truth, it was to trick the Basitins into using magic, which screws up their heads. During this time, King Adelaide became ill and bedridden, but she still managed to rouse herself to battle, which eventually led to the destruction of the tower. After the Tower's Destruction, she made her way to Keith's trial, revealing she was well-recovered now, convinced that her "illness" wasn't natural.
