Zen as a roguish starfighter pilot, suggested by SetriaphTFJ!

Seeth

Definitely another favorite sketch 🙂‍↕️

Orion

From bows and swords to spaceships. Now that's an upgrade.

SetriaphTFK

Heck yeah, love how this turned out!

Tiglish

that giving me a Star Wars vibe

III

I'm sooo biased because of how much I love space, but this is incredible. Reminded me a bit of Interstella 5555

Canis Lupis Rex

...Why am I hearing 'Knights of Sidonia' opening music play right now? 😁😁😁😁

Alvarin_IL

It needs a second panel, when we see the reality - a coin operated rocking ride.

This looks like it could be a direct tie with the “Space Kat” post, in a way. Wouldn’t be surprised…

Spillthefire6

Offscreen is his co-pilot Red who tends to wear a bandolier...and nothing else and only speaks in grunts and growls

Anonymous1988

Zen: "Natani, where's the rest of our squadron?" Natani: "...they're gone, Zen." Zen: "What?!? How?!?" Natani: "They got tired of waiting for you to finish your lunch and jumped ahead of us. Dave was laughing and calling us slowpokes. DAVE, Zen!" Zen: "Well, excuu~uuse me for not wanting to fly on an empty stomach!"

Brian McCloud

That actually looks like an uncomfortable way to sit in the pilot's chair.

Xavier

This one is siiiiick

REDemon14

That is one unorthodox method of piloting

Xhan

Real Star Fox vibes with him

wjd1206

Personality wise, not a very big leap. I love it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

RemyHindle

Zen looks absolutely badass, I love how he gives Star Fox energy here! :)

AlaricLives87

I agree that it’s a shame that this one didn’t get colored. More love for Zen ❤️

Cedric L.

Please tell me he's not doing a barrel roll?

Noxitious

For a second, I read Space Vixen and got excited, but then it was Space Pilot Zen and I was still excited...

Rook Prime

Oh no, he's gone from assassin to Star Wolf!

Abstract Indigo

It's a shame this didn't get picked in the color vote but it was a strong runner up. Very strong roguish charm and energy to Zen here which is captured perfectly by his expression. Though really it's pretty much Zen being Zen... IN SPACE. And yes, space backgrounds seem to be another increasingly common forte of yours Tom. Nicely done! It will be interesting to see if others in the community make this into a full AU concept if any future requests come in.

Sim. Frischh

Would fit in universes like Star Wars, Freelancer, The Fringe, Serenity and plenty more. I love how he obviously just hopped on the seat and grabs the flightstick.

Mika Kyubi

Unusually, were Zen to be written slightly more seriously, I could see him in some furry version of The Expanse...

Camden Weck

Oh this feels like the start of a whole new AU. I wanna see everyone here.

Travis9x

Star Wolf Zen, piloting his Arwing in his characteristically chaotic manner that we all know & love. Looks like he's about to do a barrel roll! 🐸

Michael Marcoccio

You should have put this in the Babylon 5 universe. Then he’d be a Star Furry pilot…

zays

See you space wolf...

Shadow

Starfox reference?

Charles Dyer

Zen, m'man, you need a pressure suit and an acceleration chair/couch/something and to be strapped in. Just saying.

Saberbeam

"This is Ground Control to Major Zen, you've really made the grade! And the papers want to know who's shirts you wear.... oh wait, nvm" Although he does indeed seem to be wearing one here 😆

Brendan Blanks

"World's greatest pilot" wait, which world?

Isenlyn

I thought his mig said "world's chattiest pilot" XD

Cedric L.

Righteous stuff. Thanks 👍

K_D Lawrence

I could see Zen ending up in Star Wolf, or Star Fox.

SuperTaster

The pose implies he was sleeping/chilling in the back with the autopilot on. Now that there's action, it's time to goooo! ...while forgetting he left the mug on the dash. Oops.

SCD

Zen: You're good, but I'm better!

Argonwolf

I don't need it... I DEFINITELY don't need it...

Atelier Magra

Does this mean we're getting a space princess Kat too?

Ordithus

This one is so cool! TK sci-fi is something we need more of.

monsterruler

Kets Rock n roll Ist this picture a starfox Referenz?

Miva

The first thing that came to mind was Firefly. But I have the feeling not many here now of it.

ArtAnimationFan

*MESSAGE INCOMING* Zen: I swear, it better not be- Natani: Do a barrel roll! Zen: Dammit Nat!

Saberbeam

The TK cast as the Serenity crew is a fun idea 😄

AstroChaos

Well that just works perfectly

lOmicronl

I think the motion lines suggest that he's currently in the process of jumping into the seat.

Adamas

Zen trying to do the Kessel Run?
