I live in Canada and I can still relate... Shoveling chores notwithstanding I much prefer winter afterall you can basically put infinite layers on to stay warm but you can only take so many off to cool down

I can't tell if Adira is smiling or if Maeve is in the Fur. If anyone could look better and let me know I would be appreciated for that because too much shadow where Maeve is and the lines make Adira look like she's smiling. Also, we have to assume that this is the actual Adira, aka the Actress of the role.

Absolutely adorable und cute. However: Never try this. Fridge and freezer doors locks air tight and you hardly can open them from the inside.

That hasn't been the case in decades. Fridges with a latched door were outlawed specifically because they caused child deaths after being carelessly tossed out. Modern fridges have a magnetic latch that can easily be opened from inside with a light push. It's also not completely airtight, though probably still unpleasantly stuffy.

I guess it's just the stripe on the side of her face, but for a minute it looked like Adira was smiling proudly like "That's my clever girl." Meanwhile, Maeve's look either suggests short-term heat grumpiness or that she's slipping into her bratty preteen phase.

On one level: scary, because kids playing in old refrigerators would sometimes get locked in and suffocate. On another level: I get you, Maeve, now please move over. (Seriously - many years ago when I worked at a race track, I would take my breaks inside the walk-in refrigerator during the summer.)

Being 63 years old, I remember those televised PSAs from the 70s. They'd recommend bolting one of those rubber, wedge shaped door stops to the rim so the door could not completely close. Maybe it was me, but those TV spots made me paranoid about fridges, like I'd somehow, against all probability, trip into one and the door close behind me.

Actually, yeah. A few years ago there was a major heatwave in Germany, and there were news stories all over the world of German supermarkets renting time in their walk-in freezers, for very reasonable prices I should add like 1-5 Euros per hour, for emergency heat relief. It makes me wonder if New Edinmire and the Modern AU were built on American or European models, i.e. AC or no AC.

Refrigerators stopped having latched doors some time ago. Magnetic catches are just such situations. You can't get locked in. Maeve just opens the door a bit every now and then.

I live in Central Florida am a *native* Floridian and I absolutely LOVE COLD WEATHER!!! When it drops down to the 30s and 40s, and lower, that's my kinda MOTORCYCLE WEATHER!!! One part is the drastic lowering of the humidity, and the other part is that I get to drag out my really nice looking riding gear that I'd die of heatstroke wearing any other time of year. And I can agree with Maeve here......on really HOT rides, when I (we) would stop at a convenience store, on the way in we'd toss our full-face helmets into the outside ice machine to cool them down. It didn't affect any of the bagged ice and when we came back out, usually in about 20-30mins, our helmets would be quite cold and felt WONDERFUL when we put them on.
