I love it. As succinctly as I can: When my wife and I first got married, we were both reading TwoKinds (I'd read for years, I introduced her to it). Being the creative soul she is, she wanted to take the world and spin it herself for fun story telling for both of us. Yet, the number of times our story (from the branch point) and TwoKinds "met back up" with details, ideas, and story was almost scary. Hand-holding was one of them: For a couple of our races, it's considered an intimate act, not something one does in public often, though not INDECENT. Just intimate. This has that feeling. And you'd be hard pressed to find two more deserving characters that aren't already MAIN characters.
